Firewood heats you three times: once when you cut it, again when you split it and a third time when you burn it.

Best gas engine on the planet. I miss them 300s terribly. They always outlasted the truck they were in

They were a fantastic power plant for reliability and longevity and would just pull from nowhere. The Merlin engine of pick-ups.

Honestly I'd have to agree with ya. I'm on the edge of yanking out the i6 engine and transmission outta a truck and do a heart transplant. The original Truck is pretty clapped out

Ye old Alaskan Sourdough Throttle Stick, tuned my first ASTStick back in 65. 🤣
I've had pretty good luck pumping the chock in and out as the engine turns over. However, every rig is different and what may work for one may flood another ...
Old FORDs 🙄 what can I say? temperamental, or just mental? eccentric or idiosyncratic? FORDs are complicated like that.🤗 that's why I love them.

Hey Backyard ! Paul here. Just discovered your channel a month ago. I have a 55 Dodge C3H 1 1/2 ton I bought a couple years back . It's restored with an all steel M37 troop carrier bed and the baby hemi. So I loved your vids on your 56. I just found a vid I think you'd like on CZcams. It's on the "History Hit" channel. It's titled "We found some of the rarest vehicles of world war two" . My son is 30 and loves Cummins Diesels. Has two Dodge Rams he plays with. A 91 4x4 and a 2004 4x4. Anyway it's refreshing to find young guys who love mechanical stuff instead of video games ! 👊😎👍

If you only had one truck to do everything, you would have to work so much harder, makes sense to collect a few, if for nothing else that if you have many at least one will start. I would only get away with it if they were all different makes or types, I could have 1 tractor, 1 excavator,1 truck, 1 crane but if I came home with another tractor questions would be asked.
