So much confusion in this episode! Ömer, being jealous to the point of being sick, tells Defne he is against office relationships. He is referring to her and Sinan, of course, but Defne misunderstands and assumes he’s warning her to not be inappropriate with himself. She’s extremely hurt, and her hands fall to her side, disappointedly. Ömer sees that, and when she says she’ll stop doing anything inappropriate, he assumes she’s talking about Sinan, confirming there’s something between them. The whole time both are misunderstanding each other. Ömer looks guilty and hurt when he sees her disappointment. At the end of the episode, when she resigns, and says “I can’t do this anymore.” he assumes it’s because she can’t stop seeing Sinan. Deeply hurt, he forces her to stay and work her 15 day period, therefore not freeing her. He is soo mean to her for part of those 15 days, thinking she’s quitting so she can be free to be with Sinan.
Exact same storyline in Early Birds! Sanem resigns, Can makes her stay for 15 days because he doesn’t want her to work w/ Yigit.
I agree. This episode confused me especially the boat scene when Yasemin gave Omer the book that Dephne worked hard for; Omer graciously thanked her, kissed her and said let’s get out of here in front of everyone including Sinan- 😡why???? In previous scenes he told Sinan that Yasemin is not his type and another scene in his office that Yasemin slept over, nothing happened, and assured Sinan that he would not do that to him knowing how much Sinan is in love with Yasemin. what tha….a best friend does not act like that

Literally, I knew Yeasimin will also visit, cause Demet also visited when Ferit was sick....but how they played out is different

Since Ömer is rather closed, Neriman tried to get more information about Ömer via Asli and her other spies within Passionis for her plan to find him a wife. She knew about the books but still she did not know where his interest in a certain book came from. She knew the Ömer she saw or wanted to see but not the real Ömer.
In contrast, Defne penetrated not only into his studio but also into his person. Despite her naive and limited knowledge of people, she was still able to look behind his mask.

Yasamin is a snake. She will never admit that she did not buy book for Omer. Nihan just likes gossip and interfere with Defne's business.
Yasemin doesn't do it but Ömer will find out through Sükrü.

@@divinecaina2187 I don't know it off the top of my head, but it's right after he was sick at home. He goes to his parents' house in the mountains and there Neriman invited him to a party at their house. Defne is there too and when Sükrü picked him up he told him. That evening he goes to Defne's house for the first time and she tells him that she wants to resign.

19:56 I find Sinan really annoying here…infact in the entire episode trying to inject himself between Defne and ÖMer😠…he’s known from the start that Defne was brought in for Ömer…but he continues to butt in and interfere with their time alone😠…especially when it’s so obvious Ömer is distracted…as it is…he’s the one who keeps changing hıs “love” interests throughout the series!!😏
Agreed! He knew what Defne was supposed to be doing and yet he interfered so many times! But that's Sinan. He is a lover at heart and falls quickly for people. He at least saw the good in Defne from the start, whereas Omer doubted Defne's innocence with the shoes at first. Sinan never doubted so he has some redeeming qualities here. 🤪

Why does Defne look a mess when she meets up with Omer, that frizzy hairstyle is absolutely awful, it does her no justice whatsoever, l dont know why but l absolutely cringe when l see her with the frizzy hair,
She is just at home in her working-class neighborhood and does not walk around like Neriman's created doll. Now Ömer can see that besides the PA created by Neriman, she is also a simple young woman.

The moment when Defne put such a huge piece in her mouth, as you said is the way the director had to tell us that Defne does not belong to the upper class. Since she is well dressed by Neriman and she had good manners how can anyone tell she belongs to a working class !!
There is another wink that the director made. And that's when Sadri is having lunch with Omer at the hill house. There is a strong wind shown by windows closed and opened and a chair down on the land meaning that Omer`s feelings who he had been able to keep them quite hidden are no longer under control. Just as when you open up a bottle of champagne. Very beautiful those winks. There are many along this soapies.

I don’t know why the writers storyline had Defne give Yasmin the 1st edition book and take credit for the gift to Omer.
That morning Ömer was rather abrupt with her for no reason. Then Neriman almost humiliated her to the bone about her origins. She already had that book, but what was the point of doing all that trouble for nothing?
In the end she saw that Ömer appreciated her gift after all.
What I would have seen was Neriman saying something about it in front of Defne and her getting the chance to tell Neriman that she was the one who bought the book for Ömer.
The script is well written. Just see how it all developes. It is all well connected.

This is what annoyed the hell out of me....she was got close to him....then she pushed him away.....then she pulled him back to her....then she pushed him away again.....that tends to wear a man down.....and i don't care what she was going through.....i loved it when she and Omer fought and i loved seeing her on the receiving end of all the crap.

He lied about being upset about interoffice relationships when the truth was, he was just jealous of the possibility of anything between her and Sinan. He made her work late when he saw Sinan in her office and he assumed they were making plans for that night. He started to act dishonestly. He was as afraid to lose Defne as she was to lose him, but she had a secret that was like the world upon her shoulders and he didn't.
