    Recieved a swift response from Supermofools and this was the reply...........
    Thank you for your feedback! This helps us create better products.
    The white one is tucked away since most people liked the version with
    only the LED bar. To satisfy everyone the option to have the bottom 2
    LEDS on as well we went for a version where you can still easily change
    it if you like it the other way around better.

    Thanks for the info. I bought a 2021 sm701, with almost no lights or super bright. Especially at night while driving thru streets with no lights I was blinding upcoming traffic. Now found the white wire and I have a less overkill of light. Still very bright but doable. 👌

      Thanks. I appreciate it. Yes it’s much brighter although I think I may have some messing around adjusting the beam so it won’t dazzle on coming traffic.

    I was wondering how long it would take you to find the wire. I had the same problem with the 690 light. I think they just have the DRL on as a low beam because it looks cool.

    • @Robbiemoto
      @Robbiemoto  Před 2 lety

      I did think that initially but then it dawned on me that that light isn’t going to throw out much of a beam at night.

  • @edgarquintero1519
    @edgarquintero1519 Před rokem

    Ok, I believe I know where the confusion is here. The reason I think the white wire is disconnected is so you have the option of running the low beam with only the U shaped light (white disconnected) or U and the two bottom led’s (white connected)and all the lights be ON on high beams mode.

    • @Robbiemoto
      @Robbiemoto  Před 2 lety +1

      Hi.
      There are several things you could do. One is email and complain as they’re not advertising that fact of having to rework the light.
      I had a few random terminals luckily enough and one of them was the correct one. I twisted the copper strands so the wire was straight and used some terminal pliers to press it on. Just for added measure I used the heat shrink but that’s a little over board really. I just wanted to make sure it stayed on.
      You could cut the wire from your original light and solder it on. But I’d recommend buying a small kit that includes terminals and terminal pliers.
      The one I had is a few years old but I don’t believe it was very expensive.
      If you still don’t fancy doing that then maybe look for an electrical repair shop that may be able to do it for you.
      Hope you get sorted soon.

      Yep you’re right. Also shows with main beam on. But the description says low and high beam and nothing about having to rework the wiring to make low beam work. A little misleading. If they’d have stated this clearly then no big deal. Or even if the light had an instruction note inside the box declaring this but nothing is said.
      This has caught quite a few 701 and 690 owners out.

    • @Robbiemoto
      @Robbiemoto  Před 2 lety +1

      Oh I agree. I think it looks cool with just the bar lit up. If the bike had an old style light switch where you could manually turn on low beam then that would work out just right. And then they could have the white wire fitted. After I emailed them they replied with the above pinned comment. After I pointed out that the description was misleading I never got a reply back and the haven’t altered it either. Being a stubborn old twat as I am I won’t buy from them again 😄
