This is my review of the Saramonic MV-Mixer. This budget audio interface can be used for podcasting, live streaming, and making music. Saramonic's podcast audio interface delivers an excellent build quality, colorful lighting, and an intuitive design. I show you how to turn on 48v phantom power on the MV-Mixer from Saramonic, plus I share some features that would improve the device even more. If you're looking for the best budget audio interface under $100, I think this might be it! Is this the best budget audio interface for music/vocals? I'd say it would have to be close. The Saramonic MV-Mixer is definitely an excellent audio interface for home studio, podcasting, gaming, live streaming, vocals and more. There is quite a bit of noise when you push the preamp to max volume, but the good news is that, even with 48dB of gain, the device pushes the Shure SM7B well without maxing out the gain knob.

Great review as always. Since you didn't mention it this time, I must ask: Did you hear any latency when listening to yourself via headphones?
I make a passing comment at the 2:16 mark, but it's easy to miss. I didn't hear any latency at all which was quite refreshing. Some of these cheaper devices give me a headache due to the offset audio. Thankfully, I did not discern any noticeable delay when monitoring my voice.

Noob question, but can you hear both the sounds from the pc and your own voice on the headphones at the same time while monitoring? I am primarily looking for a cheap device that will let me monitor my voice while using IEMs in voice chat or gaming scenarios. thanks, great reviews.
I'm not sure why this comment got filtered, but sorry for the delay. You can hear both PC sounds and your own voice at the same time when set to "INPUT". If you press the button again it will be set to PLAYBACK mode and you won't hear yourself. The headphone out is kind of quiet for monitoring your own voice so if you're looking to hear yourself at a loud level then this will not work for you. Again, sorry for the delay. I'm not sure if the iPad can power this particular unit. Please reach out to Saramonic and ask them. I know it is bus powered and says compatible with PC/Mac OS, but outside of that I am not sure.
My old brain gets the weird name mixed up with Samsonite.
