- In today's video we are bass fishing with Texas rigs and Jerkbaits. I am fishing at a public park I like to call Skeletor Park. The first night I am out there fishing with a small jerkbait and I manage to catch two fish. The first catch is an aggressive bluegill measuring maybe 7 inches. The second fish catch is a largemouth bass coming at a whopping 6 inches. After leaving and coming back a few days later, it is much more windy. It is so windy, making casting difficult. I still manage to catch another bass, but this time on a Texas rig. Both the jerkbait and texas rig are catching fish right now. #fishing #realistic

Catching anything on that super windy day is a huge accomplishment. I'd rather fish in a freezing cold downpour than a sunny day with insane wind. The fact that you managed to pull up a solid bass made it worth being out in that.
The struggle is real to get those fish, especially in public locations. That's simply realistic.

I prefer the 40 hrs earlier day. Wind sux when your trying to fish. But, a day fishing is always worth putting up with a little wind. Great video Alex.

Not sure if you ever watch Last Man Standing with Tim Allen, but they had an episode where the "Fishing CZcamsr" visited his outdoor gear store. He was loud and obnoxious with crazy hair and clothes. Also had a catch phrase and groupies 😂😂

Yesterday caught a 4 inch bass on a swimbait, today a 4 pounder on a lipless lol

Way to go fighting that wind to catch a fish, Alex. usually when it's windy go heavier with the weight but only enough to keep your bait on the bottom. kepp it realistic!
Solid fish given the conditions. I might have tried a spinner bait or a chatterbait in lieu of the trig.

To say I've had enough of the wind this spring would be an understatement. It seems like it's been blowing over 20 mph for 2 weeks straight. I guess that's just part of the challenge. Keep it Realistic.

I hear ya there. Nothing worse than trying to cast only to get your lure or bait intercepted by a big gust of wind, or for it to to push your minnow or other livebait rig into a snag trap.
Glad ya got that good bass and nice bluegill though.

Keep grinding and you'll get that nice fat bottomed 4+ lber. I've been fishing about 12 times and only caught a handful of dink bass, and a couple decent but not great bluegill.
Finally this past Friday I caught a handful of really nice bluegill and got a bonus 4 lb bass on a nightcrawler fishing on bottom.
