Absolute banger with just the right amount of black for this deathhead 💀 I can’t get enough of the artwork, t-shirt and backpatch on the way. Sometimes I frame patches but I reckon I’ll jacketrock this beauty and frame the album poster. Even wifey likes it 😮

upon discovering the group, I listened to this album...30.37 minutes of power.
I'm not based on death metal, except for Deicide, but I admit that I got a slap in the face listening to this album....new subs...L56...
New to Witch Vomit myself but really like the way they mix up their sound. They seem to have a good blend of OSDM vibes with a modern edge 🤘🤘
I thought the vocals were a little too prominent in the mix, but maybe I need to listen to it a few more times. The melody in the album reminds me a lot of the new Tomb Mold.
Great review, I think I understand the album better now. I also got the album very late (on CD). The first place i pre-ordered it suddenly cancelled my preorder, and I had to order it later on. I wonder if something went wrong in the production end, or something...
I was kinda worried it'd be less filthy, but it's not!! Great album, it made me want to vomit with joy! ...That's a thing right? Just me?

An excellent album.Their catchiest riffs to date imo. This one and the new Suffer album are my favourite DM releases of the year so far!
Absolutely loving the new one. Its the first Witch Vomit to truly hit me since the debut, which I got on release. All their stuff is great but Scream from a Tomb Below was special. Funeral Sanctum is on par and to my ears the guys have definitely been listening to a load of old school Finnish bands when preparing it. Check out the Cartilage demo (split with Sweden's Altar) then listen to Witch Vomit's Serpentine Shadows on this new album.
And the middle of Black Wings of Desolation has Slayer's Criminally Insane drum changeup all over it!
