    Hi Ravi, Good video. I have been using the DevOps Test Plan module for some time and am not very pleased with the function where a tester has to stop in between the execution of steps and want to resume from the next step the next day i.e. to continue the same test execution. I have found the workaround by training the testers to select the "Pause" option. Do you have a better way of handling the same situation?

    Hi Ravi very well explained. I have been following your videos for reference. I had a question for a specific requirement. SaY in ALM we had just folder for each release and each release folder had Feature A with 10 test cases, feature B with 20 test cases. Is it a correct mapping in Azure Devops to now consider the release as a test plan, feature folders in ALM as test suites under that release(test plan here) and create test cases under the respective test suites?

    • @RavikanthReddy
      @RavikanthReddy  Před 3 lety +1

      Thanks for subscribing to my channel. Yes, your assumption is correct. You can create a new Test Plan for each release and test Suites under that test plan for each feature or module. Its again depends on project rules and you can change the structure accordingly

    • @RavikanthReddy

      Hi VIjay, please subscribe to my channel. Basically, you have to maintain a master regression suite at test plan level. But now I want to use the same testcases for UAT UAT environment so how to use the same testcases , I don't want to rewrite the testcases again, so what is the best way to do.

    How to eliminate duplication of tests from different test suites? for example you apply query to group all priority 2 tests in a query based suite. Then you make a requirement based suite but one of the test in requirement based suite is also a prio 2 test. This would mean that this prio 2 test will exist in 2 test suites (requirement based and priority based suites) in same test plan.
    My question is how to find duplicate test cases in a test plan and how to eliminate duplication?

However, to link test cases to requirements you should have requirements work items defined in project. You should have Basic + Test Plans access which costs you around $50 per person

    In the Test Case we have the state (Design, Ready and Closed)
    1-So when we write test case it should be in which state?
    2-When the automation script is ready in which state it should be?
    3-When we associate the automation script to respective test case which state the Test case should be?
    Can you please help me with this doubts please

      Find the below clarifications:
      1. Should be in "Design" state
      2. Automation status should be 'Planned' and test case status should be Ready ideally
      3. It should be 'Ready'

    Hi Ravi. This is a great video. Thanks for uploading :-) However, i have a few questions on Requirement based suites. After running the query, i got a list of user stories which had test cases linked to them. I selected 2 user stories from that list and clicked on "Create Suite". But after the suite got created, no test case was displayed and the page showed "Add a test case". Could you please help me resolve this.
