'Off The Wall' was the first album I ever purchased, and in my excitement as I was walking home from the mall with my friends, I was not paying attention and was hit head on by a car. As I tumbled over the hood of the car everything suddenly went into slow-motion, I saw my album fly out of my hands like a Frisbee. My ONLY thought was _'I hope my album is OK!'._ Fortunately, it was! I however, was in a lot of pain but no serious injury. The song 'Off The Wall' remains my favorite MJ song to this day.

Just listened to this album for the first time in my life recently (I’m 25). Off the wall, from off the wall may be MJ’s best overall song in his career. Production, vibe, pace, lyrics, vocals… he hit EVERY part of this song along with the band and production team
Off the Wall is the Closer album of 70s Rock, Fusion and RnB for me...

Great video as always! I would like to point out that at 3:52, the synthesizer used, despite an interview with Greg Phillinganes, was actually an Oberheim 8 Voice SEM; the OB-8 wouldn’t come out until 1983.

Great Video. Good work put everything together. I want to add that Bobby Watson from Rufus w/Chaka Khan played bass on Rock With You. Louis Johnson did play bass on majority of the album.
These videos would be perfect if they were about an hour longer!

@@mixingmasteringonline should do a cure album, 17 seconds etc, they used cool effects and tape loops on the drums for a forest

@@mixingmasteringonline yeah there is a sound on sound article, robert used a fender jazzmaster with a roloand jc160, i owned the roland was phenomenal with the chorus swirling between the 4 x10 speakers, not sure how it was miced…simon used a fender precision, rolond SH 101 synth
