Unnecessarily long rant:
She really has a talent for expressing exactly what the song is saying just by vocal range and facial expressions and I would be remiss to not acknowledge what I love about this video and more so the talent behind it. But I think for the first time in my life I actually understood what that song is about thanks to Leannie. And from my interpretation, it's terrifying. See, I listened to this on repeat as soon as Leannie posted it because that's just the only way my dumbass can write, don't ask why. But while I kept trying to interpret the lyrics in different ways, I legitimately interpreted it in a very dark and heart breaking way thanks to the God sent talent Leannie has when expressing the correct emotion to each specific line.
Edit; In a poor attempt to not sound so stupid, likely I'm misinterpreting the lyrics, tone and facial expression emphasis on specific words or the hair made to look like horns; however the vibe and tone is almost to that of Olivia Rodrigo's performance of this very same song on SNL. Maybe they both actually do interpret this song the same way as me, but I've only ever heard interpretations of it being about a relationship, which I think it isn't. Either way it's crazy how influential her passion is to the point that it literally helped me do some of my greatest writing and this video comes off so layered, even if it wasn't intended to be. She has no idea how great of an influence she is.
But hey, what the hell do I know? So let me know how you guys interpret “All American Bitch”. I would even encourage you to tell me how I'm wrong.
