With seconds left on the clock, New Zealand start a counter attack from a Fiji knock-on. With the Kiwi's last throw of the dice, Steven Yates sets off on a threatening run. He is stopped in his tracks by William Ryder. The Islanders start their counter attack and throw the ball to Serevi. The 38-year-old shows why he is rated as the best Sevens player in Sevens history by running circles around the younger Kiwis, putting his teammates into gaps, he scores the winning try and brings the Hong Kong crowd to their feet. Tomasi Cama junior can't take it and gets a few pats on the head for his troubles.
it's super cool that iv'e actually met Serevi a couple times because i live in Seattle and he sometimes comes to our games and practices to give us pointers because his son and nephew plays on my team for Seattle viking rugby and he's super cool

The way Cama jumped at Serevi, he was trying not only to hurt Serevi but disrespect him!
You can see how his chin knocked on Serevis head. That's why vucago and the other team mate grabbed him quickly and smacked his head and lecture him some Fijian manners because he's been away from home far too long and forgot his manners. Walking around someone sitting or lying down is considered taboo in a Fijian culture. Understanding that this is rugby but he had no right at all to jump him like that when he has already scored.💯

though serevi seems to be a great player here i was very dissapointed at his performance yesterday at the melrose 7s. I appreciate that he was a great player and now 40 he is coming along in the years but it was almost as if he did not put in any effort.

sevens is a completely different game from 15's... u want to get the ball into space quickly and let the play makers create. In 15's u wanna bash it up and create space outside, whereas in 7's the space is already there so the idea is to utilize it and stretch the defense.
If you read Serevi's lips, he says "caiti tamamu". I hear Serevi and Cama senior never got along!

that only if the team ur playing doesnt have a sweeper.. if the sweeper does his job and the rest of ur team isnt lazy there is a good chance he'll cover it. Maybe its pointless to you b/c u dont understand the game? just cuz u play 15's it doesnt mean you under the 7's game. It requires more skill, discipline, and footwork. I suspect ur a typical 6 that hits every breakdown without thinking....

A little too late but serevi always did that as well as several other players. It doesn't mean he wasn't being a good sportsman. What Cama did was the definition of being a bad sportsman
