Nice vid - gaethje landed a lot more flush hard hits to head then I realized - was expecting mostly a couple leg kicks - those shots would rock most guys.
2 occasions in my life I jabbed myself in the head from anger, I was seeing stars both times, a short hook at like 20% power, and I knew it was coming 😂
Watching this live it was almost unbelievable how Khabib walked through all that. I don't think there's a man alive that could have beat him that night.
0:17 khabibs head movement is underrated as hell, even though he got hit, he saw it beforehand and changed the direction of motion so it lands softly. He didn't eat it, it barely hit him!
Remember Tony took those shots and slept. Remember Oliver got knocked out twice by Justin G. Now you know how hard Khabib can eat these shots and still stand strong. Khabib is next level.
I remember thinking that Khabib was boring.. but nobody that i remember was so dominant like this man. The people in front of him has to fucking run on the octagon, hoping that Khabib doesn't go for a takedown and nobody was fucking save with this man, is fucking incredibly. Jon jones, GSP, Kamaru, Israel all the people that today we think as p4p are beatable.. but this man is a fucking puzzle. This man was the most dominant fighter of all time without a doubt
Justin truly is incredible though. I love how simple his standup is. Like Bruce Lee says, it’s better to train 1 technique a 1000 times than 1000 techniques once.
khabib masterd 1 technique = never bleed 29-0 always easy fight his friend makhachev super skillfull, good at every technique = bleed and have a hard fight
People fail to realize that Khabib’s whole game plan in this fight was to blitz forward and tire Justin out. He doesn’t eat these kinda shots usually because hes super defensive and pulls his head back. Man has a chin but also hasnt taken very much damage at all.
@@iiDefied Not really. Pushing forward and blitzing are two completely different things. Watch his fights. He rarely goes on the offense, he lets his opponents swing and then he pulls his head back. Then when he sees an opening he swings back or if they get positioned past the line he goes for a takedown. That pressure of the takedown gives him his offensive edge, like when he knocked down Conor. In this fight it was evidently he was blitzing forward with the intention of eating shots to tire Justin out. Which worked perfectly because he knew once he hit the mat he was a lawn chair, he just wanted to drain em before he did it.
He fought Barboza with the same tenacity. He is willing to walk through fire to get the finish and he did in both cases. That said, he doesn't WANT to take those shots coming in - he even admitted that he thought Justin was jet-lagged and was talking shit to Justin saying that when he was caught with the two-piece combo. That was when he realized he needed to finish the fight soon lol!

Thats awesome I have terrible luck when I'm not able to make bets my predictions are right then when I got a little throwing away money all my picks lose😂😂🤦🏿♂️
Khabib always over exaggerates shots, especially when he gets hit in the head. He has an unorthodox way of taking shots. It's because of his unorthodox stand up.
It's that reason I don't bet on fights anymore - this game is just way too damn unpredictable lol! Boxing is actually far more predictable. There is just so much MORE that can happen in an mma match like crazy shit what Yair did to Zombie... or Silva and Weidman snap crackle popping their getaway sticks... this sport is utterly unpredictable end of the day lol!
After Khabib said he was already planning to retire it all made sense. As in, he is usually very careful and patient even if he never stops pressuring, he doesn't take many strikes. On that day there was a different resolution in the air, he didn't seem to care for strategy that much, or defense, he was just more like "yeah I am gonna get the finish and get out of here" and he never stopped going and walking through some tough shots. It showed in Justin's body language that he was like "WTD is wrong with this guy, does he never get hurt? Never stops moving forward, not even flinches?" And desperation started to show. Justin knew it was a matter of time and Khabib too. And it's actually a great ending because this is what he was throughout his fighting time: always more savage and more confident that he was simply going to get everything you throw at him and move past it and you wouldn't be able to do the same to him. You have this cool trick which most people can't handle? Cool. Let's see your face when you realise you would need to land 100 of those and you get tired after 10. Relentless.
I counted 25 only 2 or 3 of them looked weak and they were leg kicks the rest of the leg kicks were medium level to bombs and it looks like he landed at least 6 or 7 bombs to the upper body/head as well. I do not remember Khabib eating this many hard shots the first time I watched.
Man that 2 punch combo. I honestly think khabib ate that and said internally somewhere 'damn im surprised that didn't rock me' cuz that's a helluva combo.
Khabib's dad and lifetime trainer passed away weeks before this fight, his mother told him to pull out of the fight, but he wanted to do it for his dad. He just walked at gaethje and brute forced one of the toughest fighters in the division
Alot of us knew khabib also had a broken foot in his final fight with Justin before the finish his toes touched the fence and clearly hurt him physically, (i think any fighter would lost that triangle choke) but His mind and body are clearly stronger than pain.
@@bassmit9753 He had a broken toe Bro there are so many little things you don't know about Khabib. He doenst come up with excuses unlike most of the fighters. Thats why he is a Legend !! You must be a balloon Fanboy
Without a doubt Khabibs hardest fight and same thing with Olivera, although he got finished early than their other opponents Justin puts insane pressure on guys to the point where they just have to get him out of there before he does enough damage they can’t recover from
But he put down oliveira. Oliveira even went down on purpose the second time cause he couldn't handle it. Khabib just kept walking forward until he got his hands on gaethje
Gaethje definitely won the first round. Landed more shots, and harder shots, but the gap in grappling skill was insane in this fight. Reminds me of Cormier vs Lewis.
Problem is Justin's gas tank ran out with the blasting technique he was using. Plus he was made to constantly move back the whole time which is more tiring. It was a hard fight with some success until it was nap time.
Khabib was powered by sorrow, had nothing to lose and kept pacing forward. Its hard to see Khabib losing any fight, he did spectacular in all his other fights that it mentally reaffirms his strengths
Crazy for their to be someone so good on the ground people just fight trying to stay up and hopefully get a good shot constantly worried about take down just a matter of time til he grabs you
imagine walking forward despite Gaethje throwing everything and the kitchen sink, I think I have only ever seen Johnson and Gaethje ever land on Khabib with such force
I didn’t realize how hard he got hit with the combo and just ate it like nothing and didn’t even have bruising or swelling after fight (that I recall). It goes to show you in combat sports you can have every skill in the world but to be elite you still have got to be able to take a punch and kicks (think Rockhold that has elite offense but poor defense and weaker chin).
It’s crazy. U watch this and think “man Justin was landing some shots…” then see the stats on one of the clips and khabib had actually landed more strikes. Such a beast. Really wish he would have stayed around another year or 2 and got to fight chandler and Oliviera.
Countering leg kick, because once you kick you need time to retract and come to position and Khabib used it as a bait to shoot for the takedown, that happened in the first round too
this makes you realize how astonishing is khabib's pressure and also how he ate all those shots from Justin like nothing, when every dude that he fought before khabib was critically damaged cuz of his typical and effective combos (1-2 jab and leg kick etc), something that's really intimidating and incredible.
It just looked like Khabib wanted this one done asap. Made easy work of him. Watch the fight from the beginning and you can see Justin is tired after 2 minutes and visibly exhausted after 3 meanwhile Khabib seems completely unfazed. Really made Justin look like an amateur.
Don't have much respect for him, as most fans, but I think khabib might have the strongest chin in the UFC. We've just never seen it be tested. That man retired broken, but his mind will stay with him, hopefully.
crazy how olivera not only destroyed justin on the ground but also on the feet . way more dominant imo. yea he got hit by two bombs but he fell on purpose to buy time knowing justin won’t follow him . hell who wouldn’t do that
No disrespect to Oliveira but he definitely didn't destroy gaethje on the feet he got dropped twice before coming back and dropping then subbing gaethje
He didn't go down on purpose, gaethje just didn't wanna fuck around with Charles' juijitsu, for good reason, Justin would've been slipped into a triangle faster than Aldo getting slept by Conor
Justin's performance was honestly really good here, Khabib was amazing but I think he was a beatable fighter. Issue was nobody had the right combo of takedown defense and offensive striking to keep him at bay for long enough.

I'm not sure why so many people hate on Khabib saying his records padded asf, he's boring etc... he ran through the toughest strikers in his division at the time (except Fergy) without even getting cut, black eyes, broken nose not even a fat lip ffs. Looking forward to seeing the next generation coming up under coach Khabib.
Someone recently stated that Volk is the better fighter, the very fact that we never witnessed so much as a bruise on Khabib post fight should suggest otherwise
Idk why people call his style boring he was one of the few exciting grapplers in the ufc because you knew he wasn't just gonna lay there and score points he wanted to put you to sleep or make you tap so big strikes and actions were inevitable
@@ramonsanchez3050 people can say what they like about his style of fighting, but they sure as shit can't do anything about it 🤷♂️ the same tards forget mma is still a thinking man's sport, and no one managed to out smart Khabib
They just don’t like wrestlers man
thats called haters man, and plain haters can not and will not be objective..
You guys know Khabib walk into this fight with a broken toe right? Look at the white plaster on his feet. It was also mentioned post fight. And still he dominated the fight.
Khabib’s pressure this fight was incredible. I truly don’t think I’ve seen anyone apply this kind of effective control and ring generalship in a fight that’s both strategic and metal asf. Besides maybe Charles Oliveira ;)
You should watch fedor vs cro cop he used a similar strategy to nullify cro cops kicks
Joe Joyce in boxing
Straight terminator
Oliveira does it without take down threat so it's more impressive, he also keep pressuring even if he gets dropped, he's a tough sob
@@onurhayr1937 how does Oliveira have no take down threat when everybody knows if it goes to the ground it's over??? They may not be anticipating him shooting for their legs as much as they anticipate Khabib, but they for sure keep their distance
The shot at 0:31 is massive. Look at Khabibs head snap back, and he doesn’t even blink and guys right back to walking Justin down. Best chin I’ve ever seen at lightweight.
He gets hold of him then 30 seconds later his finished him. Honestly the greatest
Khabib was rocked once but had a great pokerface
Than and then are different words

THAT CHIN DOESNT BLEED, 29 - 0 this is exactly why Khabib is the greatest
Watching this live it was almost unbelievable how Khabib walked through all that. I don't think there's a man alive that could have beat him that night.
0:17 khabibs head movement is underrated as hell, even though he got hit, he saw it beforehand and changed the direction of motion so it lands softly. He didn't eat it, it barely hit him!
Love me some Oliveira, however if he fought Khabib it would go exactly how the Barboza vs Khabib fight went.
Like Bruce Lee says, it’s better to train 1 technique a 1000 times than 1000 techniques once.
khabib masterd 1 technique = never bleed 29-0 always easy fight
his friend makhachev super skillfull, good at every technique = bleed and have a hard fight
People fail to realize that Khabib’s whole game plan in this fight was to blitz forward and tire Justin out. He doesn’t eat these kinda shots usually because hes super defensive and pulls his head back. Man has a chin but also hasnt taken very much damage at all.
Yep taking to much damage will destroy you slowly like most fighters
No people don't fail to realize that. Khabib's entire career was built on walking forward.
Khabib made all of his opponents look like sparring partners
Ive criticised Khabib many times about his one sided fighting style but even ive come to realize that the man is very fucking tough and can take multuple hits 🤯🤯🤯🤯💯💯💯💯 its seems like hes giving people a chance to KO him and they cant so he finishes them !!! Its fucking scary and fascinating 😯😯 RESPECT 👑👑👑😤😤😤
dude was an absolutely relentless force
Love to see these 2 at it again because of their love for the fight and mutual respect for each other!.. Great Warriors ✌️💛🤘
Love for the fight??
Khabib dives for your legs and dry humps you, that's not a fight.
I had bet 2000$ on Khabib and when he started eating shots I started shitting my pants. Especially when his whole body flew from leg kicks lmfaooooo
It's because of his unorthodox stand up.
it's called rolling with the punches (& kicks). not the most elegant technique on display but it worked well enough.
and how much you won for being wise🤔
It's that reason I don't bet on fights anymore - this game is just way too damn unpredictable lol! Boxing is actually far more predictable. There is just so much MORE that can happen in an mma match like crazy shit what Yair did to Zombie... or Silva and Weidman snap crackle popping their getaway sticks... this sport is utterly unpredictable end of the day lol!
One thing I can say about Khabib is his ability to seemingly not be affected by anyones strikes throughout his run in the ufc was amazing.
Never stops moving forward, not even flinches?"
And desperation started to show. Relentless.
Well said
His father who was also his coach passed away. He just wanted to finish this fight and retire because of that.
Even crazier that he walked away unscathed
@@fififairuzfuyooo that leg probably hurt like hell though, I wouldn't say unscathed lol
@@fififairuzfuyooo I remember Khabib also had a broken foot here. So the fact he ate those kicks is wild.
@@tomcan339 he said he felt „nothing“
No wonder he retired, if he kept fighting like that he will lose his greates asset - his chin
Man that 2 punch combo. I honestly think khabib ate that and said internally somewhere 'damn im surprised that didn't rock me' cuz that's a helluva combo.
Khabib is bear wrestling, mountain climbing beast. There’s truly no one like him.
Two strong boys there!!!👌🏽
Khabib's dad and lifetime trainer passed away weeks before this fight, his mother told him to pull out of the fight, but he wanted to do it for his dad. He just walked at gaethje and brute forced one of the toughest fighters in the division
Exactly brother! Peace
0:31 No one would have survived such a combination in this division, but it's habibi.
The site of khabib charging at you like a beast no matter how hard you hit him.
"So did he bleed?"
"In the octagon? Nope, never."
Alot of us knew khabib also had a broken foot in his final fight with Justin
before the finish his toes touched the fence and clearly hurt him physically, (i think any fighter would lost that triangle choke)
but His mind and body are clearly stronger than pain.
broken foot lol, utter nonsense
@@bassmit9753 He had a broken toe
Bro there are so many little things you don't know about Khabib.
He doenst come up with excuses unlike most of the fighters.
Thats why he is a Legend !! You must be a balloon Fanboy
"Khabib fights are boring"
He's boring because he is just tooooo good.
And khabib still didn't show respect! Walk right thru him ! Come back khabib 💪
Khabib just kept walking forward until he got his hands on gaethje
khabib struggled more with rda and teibau. his title fights were his most dominant
Isn't weird how justin calls all these guys quitters, yet recently we've been seeing his newly improved tap techniques
Iron chin. Bro was completely unfazed, his plan was basically just march forward at all times with pressure
Khabib isn't just very good, he is also monstrously durable
Gaethje definitely won the first round. Landed more shots, and harder shots, but the gap in grappling skill was insane in this fight. Reminds me of Cormier vs Lewis.
Khabib landed more shots actually. The takedown threat really messed up Justin’s striking in this fight.
@@H.K.5 Nah official stats have Gaethje ahead. Gaejthe is the better striker and we knew that before the fight.
Problem is Justin's gas tank ran out with the blasting technique he was using. Plus he was made to constantly move back the whole time which is more tiring. It was a hard fight with some success until it was nap time.
The bigger problem was that khabib could take him down just like he did in the first round when justin was not tired.
Khalib pressuring him for every second of the fight is why he gassed out so fast
Khabib was powered by sorrow, had nothing to lose and kept pacing forward. Its hard to see Khabib losing any fight, he did spectacular in all his other fights that it mentally reaffirms his strengths
Mad respect for how Gathie went to tell Kabib that his dad was still watching and would have been very proud and help the man up,Mad tespect
He also had a broken toe going into this fight, which I don’t see anyone talking about in the comments. Pretty wild
Thanks for this video.❤️
I'd like to see if Izzy could pressure anyone like Khabib, buts that's probably never going to happen
Khabib often reminds me of joe frazier just relentlessly walking his opponent down keeping high pace
0:31 wow😮😮
Legend Khabib 🔥🔥
It’s crazy. U watch this and think “man Justin was landing some shots…” then see the stats on one of the clips and khabib had actually landed more strikes. Such a beast.
Really wish he would have stayed around another year or 2 and got to fight chandler and Oliviera.
Justin dominated him! How did he trip and fall into that triangle? 🤯
Countering leg kick, because once you kick you need time to retract and come to position and Khabib used it as a bait to shoot for the takedown, that happened in the first round too
@@nayannbg6314 He is trolling, no one just trips and falls in a triangle lmao

that body shot to left hook was insane, how Khabib walked through that is incredible.
this makes you realize how astonishing is khabib's pressure and also how he ate all those shots from Justin like nothing, when every dude that he fought before khabib was critically damaged cuz of his typical and effective combos (1-2 jab and leg kick etc), something that's really intimidating and incredible.
It just looked like Khabib wanted this one done asap. Made easy work of him. Watch the fight from the beginning and you can see Justin is tired after 2 minutes and visibly exhausted after 3 meanwhile Khabib seems completely unfazed. Really made Justin look like an amateur.
khabibs pressure is insane man he constantly forces you to fight
I respect the hell out of Charles but until I see Charles beat Khabib with my own eyes, I just don't think anyone at 155 ever beats him
Khabib said he wasn't fit mentally due to loss of his father. Even after he managed to make him tap

Khabib got a god tier chin, unlike Olives who almost gets slept in every fight and sometime does, yet people still compare him to khabib.
crazy how olivera not only destroyed justin on the ground but also on the feet . way more dominant imo. yea he got hit by two bombs but he fell on purpose to buy time knowing justin won’t follow him . hell who wouldn’t do that
No disrespect to Oliveira but he definitely didn't destroy gaethje on the feet he got dropped twice before coming back and dropping then subbing gaethje
Got dropped twice, faked a knock down to bait him to the ground, dominant ...
He didn't go down on purpose, gaethje just didn't wanna fuck around with Charles' juijitsu, for good reason, Justin would've been slipped into a triangle faster than Aldo getting slept by Conor
LOL Oliveira couldn't take Gaethje's shot even when he was overweight
@@timurjack8773 Except he did, and sent him to Sleepyville.
Justin's performance was honestly really good here, Khabib was amazing but I think he was a beatable fighter. Issue was nobody had the right combo of takedown defense and offensive striking to keep him at bay for long enough.
@Tony nah i dont think so, having takedown defense isnt as important against certain fighters
Khabib had mumps and a broken toe ... Depending on the opponent he would come at them different, with Justin he chose pressure as the game plan. Everyone's beatable man, they're human genius...
