Got a chance to see him at GMA's Concert in The Park in 2006, my daughter had just got back from a tour of duty in Afghanistan. We stood in line from 2 a.m. they let us in at 6 a.m. we were so close to the stage I could reach out and touch him. When he came out on the stage I immediately started screaming. One of the best times I had with my daughter. Rest in Paradise Prince.

he had "the thing"..the it factor, or whatever you want to call it. I'll never forget I was living in San Diego, and I was on vacation in the Caribbean, when a buddy called me to tell me Prince died. It was the first LONG vacation I had ever taken in my life...to St Barts with 3 other friends. Im standing in the restroom of a restaurant..in a Speedo and sandals...it was a beachfront place. I was in there taking a picture of a "bong" (smoking pipe). It sat on the back of the toilet. So, word got around about the bong, and I run in there to take this picture..the phone rings, and BAM, I get the news about Prince. Im not kidding..it felt like a punch in the stomach. And I literally, stooped down, like I was squatting...head down, holding the phone with two hands. I was STUNNED, and suddenly nauseous. I stood up...still looking at the floor.
And I could not move. And when I finally looked up, a friend, as irony would have it, came into the restroom to see what was up...I said "Jake just called me...Prince died". He yelled, "WHAT?!!"..I didnt know Prince..my friend didnt know him. But all of us, including the friend who called me, grew up on his music. We are dyed-in-the-wool fans. Ive seen him 11 times, in concert. First time was in DC, where I was born and raised...concert was at the old Capitol Center in Landover, MD..Im pretty sure it was the Controversy or Dirty Mind tour. That was '80 or '81, I think...Ive even seen him in Germany, over 20 yrs ago. My sister lived there with her then-fiance'...all of us went to see Prince. So, when you have history with a particular entertainer, because you're inspired by their talent, you get attached to them...I still find it difficult to believe he died. I know he did..but when Im listening to "Sometimes It Snows in April"...or "Crucial"...or "Soft and Wet"...or "Free". It still FEELS like "he's around".

Saw Stephanie Mills in concert not long after Prince had passed away...she wore a beautiful purple 💜 dress to honor him and said he was the most prettiest masculine man she had ever met and that he could pull the prettiest women. She even said female artist that performed around him made sure their hair, make up and outfits were top notch just not feel outdone by Prince's effortless ability to look, feel and perform his best‼️

I remember winning tickets from WDKX Radio Station to Prince concert in Buffalo in the 1980's. I will never forget the energy projecting from Prince throughout the whole audience on that cold night!! I took a great friend with me, and to this day we still have conversations about Prince proformance. 💕💖💕

Then I found the truth of Jehovah God and his precious son Jesus. I was overjoyed when I knew that Prince found the truth. My love and admiration was of family. My brother. Come to think of it I was blessed to see Prince performing at one of Chicago's, in my view, best theaters: THE CHICAGO THEATER, where every seat is s great seat. Middle center seats, second balcony....mid-90's. He was stunningly vintage Prince. Purple Rain brought the house down..Adore..🎤🎶🎵👍😁
