Nirvana are the greatest band. Kurt Cobain was so smart. he knew how to write so many great songs. he sang about things that, at times, made people uncomfortable, or perhaps people didn't understand what he was trying to say. but there's a reason he wrote songs like this. he wasn't afraid to write songs about sad or horrific situations that most people wouldn't write about, and he stood up for people who were mistreated. he made you feel connected to his music. it is sad that Nirvana were only around for such a short amount of time, but in that time, they changed music forever and they still stand out as one of the most influential bands of the 90's. the 90's were a great time to grow up and listen to great music.
Being 13 months younger than Kurt, and totally being into the non-mainstream music scene at the time they first arrived on my radar with Bleach, I was fortunate to experience and appreciate much of their music back then, among many other alt acts of the era. Now, thanks to a good, and recent drummer friend, whose favorite band is Nirvana, I've got to relive and expand my love for their work. As an intermediate level guitarist I have the great pleasure to jam to many Nirvana tunes with my buds. It brings me great joy and cathartic musical release to jam out many Nirvana tunes with them!

I like how they change up the lyrics and way they play in different scenarios for this song. For example Dave hits the crash cymbal harder in this than he does in some other ones because it's a concert compared to like a little studio or room where he hits it softer.
