there is also a video from howard stern where Elton is saying that Miley has the best rock n roll voice right now, i totally agree! she made a performance of janis joplin "maybe" and i had experiencing seeing her live at ACL performance and my soul left my body after her 2 hour set, she's so incredible live performer

I will respectfully disagree. Don't get me wrong, she has developed into an incredible versatile artists but there are multiple artists I believe are distinguished far beyond her ability vocally in rock.
I’ve got almost 60 years of guitar solos recorded in my head and James’ work on this song is right at the top.
One of the first I ever learned to play on guitar years ago and still one of my favorites to play.
Love this performance Miley is the queen of covers. She should do an entire covers album . I love hearing her take on songs. She’s always so into it. They always seem like they are her songs.

There's video (I think it's from the same show) where Elton John says that Nothing Else Matter is the best song ever written and it means so much to James Hetfield that his work is so well regarded, he starts to cry. It's so sweet. Miley asked Elton to play piano on her cover version. It's a bit of a super group with the drummer of Red Hot Chili Peppers playing as well.

If there was ONE person I could meet it would be Miley. Ima huge metal head, But her voice and seeing her go from suber to drugs back to sober is something that just hit me in the hard as a Sober Drug adicct. Was at a low point in my life for 6 years and got sober thanks to music. But just her voice is soooo amazing!!
I can't take how much Miley has embraced dolly parton's approach to music. It shows so much, and I love it.

I've never been a huge Metallica fan, but damn some of their music is just so good. Personally, I love their S&M albums, where they play with the San Francisco Symphony. Everything on those two albums hits different
Awesome reaction/analysis video. This was truly an inspiring collaboration. You nailed it on the head as to why this was an epic performance, the honesty that Metallica and Miley brought to the song. That's why Metallica is so popular, their honesty to themselves and their fans. Sometimes the truth hurts and we all don't want to hear it but at the end of the day we appreciate it. I don;t know Miley that much and have only started following her since this collab was released and from what I've seen so far she exibits that honesty. That's the whole reason Howard Stern is so popular too, his unabashed honesty has gotten him in a lot of hot water over the years but it's that honesty that resonates with his listeners...

Also for a "heavy metal" band they are playing with squeaky clean guitar tones so there is no where to hide. They are a little loose at the start of the song but by the first
solo they are right on the mark and make this such a great version!
It could be because they haven’t played live music for quite a while due to the COVID situation. It wasn’t their best but Miley carried the performance.

It also has the heart of glass cover and zombie cover. And Miley has 6 more albums before that one. And 3 more albums under Hannah Montana so…..🤦♂️yes she has her own music
