I may be as thick as a whale omelette but electronic music is often uploaded along with spacey type footage or images. I equate electronica or proper electro as futuristic-sounding but who collectively decided that this type of footage equates to the future? Or is it simply because landing on the moon for instance is in itself cutting edge or futuristic? After all fitting this fine track to someone knitting a sweater for instance wouldn't really fit the premise of said tune. Maybe I've just answered my own question...

Well the sound is literally born out of tech nology, the master AI computer race. Who knows, maybe Autechre isn't real. It's just the AI's first contact with hoomans

Bleep might be your best bet. Or Amazon.

I used to own this on bleep.com, but just recently checked back and noticed they silently removed the tracks from my music library. Contacted them yesterday to see what's going on with this. I haven't found a legal high quality digital download anywhere else so far...

I'm not so keen anymore on the crackly static from dusty vinyl. It beats me why anyone would want to hear something other than the music. Like drinking water with bits in it.

Some people just like noise. It isn’t wrong. Anymore than what you do is right. The crackle and even tape hiss is what I need for comfort. I prefer a fan at night for the same reason. I enjoy the way the crackle sounds in regards to the music.
