Is there a difference in the braking performance of a car with different types of braking systems in BeamNG Drive? For example, install a standard brake system, then a rally, then a racing brake system on the same car and check the braking efficiency on different road surfaces.

the biggest difference between basic-, rally- and race brakes is the time before brake fade happens and braking distance after the brakes are warmed up
Race brakes suck until they are warmed up. But these results were way to close haha bizarre
who says that there is no difference in the brakes, dont have enough play hours on the game!
you have to maximize grip when testing brakes test them on a drag strip with race tyres and the race brakes stop in a much shorter distance than standart ones.
People always forget that tires also matter as much as the brakes
The test was conducted a very long time ago and at that time I did not take into account many nuances, maybe someday I will try to check it again
On pretty much any modern car, the factory brakes are more than powerful enough to instantly lock the wheels even at high speeds (ABS will engage instantly) - but on most cars, even performance onces, they are not up to repeated hard braking efforts at high speeds and will overheat and fade. this will normaly not happen on the streets with spirited driving, but definitely on the race track if you want to do such stuff. there better brakes are neccessary. they will have much better thermal capacity and not fade as much, if even. they might also give you a more instant nice bite point.
one note is that depending on the car, really powerful brakes might mess up the ABS programming a bit and the braking distance might even become a bit longer or the car feel squirmy if you simply slap them on and dont tune the whole system.
This is true about the standard brakes, once I had to brake sharply from a speed of 170-180 km.h, and they were not even enough for 1 braking with the pedal to the floor, literally after a moment the braking efficiency became worse by more than 50% according to my feelings
hi i'm brazilian i like your videos just success for your channel

Great video
you should have tested rally brakes with abs off on gravel because from what i've seen that's where they shine
Nice
not good! You have to test them at their working temperatures!
In the settings, there is always a check mark "Start with warmed up brakes"
2:34 how did you get all those different kinds of terrain? Is it a custom map?
The racing brakes needs to be heated before they give any stopping power. Try that and see the difference
Test them when they’re warmed up big differences
Try to repeatedly break hard untill you make the breakes overheat
thats whre you will see the biggest difference.
Dear BeamNG, why you did this to us
I think i know why that happened. The race brakes have the most power, therefore they can lock and slide. And they don’t use as much braking power, they just lock. The standard brakes have the least braking power, so they don’t lock as fast and put more braking power on the ground.
I'm second in comment

hi

no test on temperature ? this test is shit lol
did u get the brakes warmed up ?
Yes, I did this test a long time ago and did not take into account many nuances that would be interesting to see how well they are implemented in the beamng
