- Step by step instructions for replacing the fuel filter on a W210 and W220 Mercedes Benz (specifically E320, S430, and S500). However, as with many MB parts, the same fuel filter is used on many other models; and therefore, the procedure is the same. Not changing the fuel filter as a maintenance item will result in fuel trim issues and other engine problems. The fuel pump is right next to the filter and is connected to fewer hoses. So, you can use the same process to also change your fuel pump. The only additional step would be to unplug and re-plug the electric connector.

Thanks for this video. I just replaced the filter on my 2001 CLK 55. The arrow on my new factory filter was reversed in direction from the old filter, a Bosch filter that was on my car. On the filter there is a stamped label for the fuel pump connection and the tank connection. I followed that and the other side of the filter was easy to follow for placement of the hose connections. Before it could run really rough with the first start of the day and threaten to stall out. Sometimes even after warming up and I tried sit and idle for a couple of minutes the engine would start to run rough. Now it runs just fine with the new filter.

Are those hose clamps reusable? And how do you unclip them? I'm going to replace the fuel filter on my E320 this week. Thank you
They are, but I suggest you purchase some small hose clamps just in case - not expensive.
It is a Pex clamp, you should use a tool to remove and reinstall them. Its possible without, but so much harder.

Hello, can you give me the VIN# for your car? I can look it up for you. But, I think your fuel pump is in the same location as in the car in this video, in front of the left passenger wheel. The only other place would be under the back seat.

@@ninoalbert5940 my pleasure. Does the car crank when you turn the key? Is the starter working? As you know, you will need fuel, air, and spark to fire the cylinders. You will need to check methodically with focus on each and eliminate possible culprits.
@@masood-tv Il motore gira ma non si avvia,ho deciso di far intervenire un tecnico per collegare il Pc all'auto e verificare i vari errori che ci sono. Le cause possono essere varie e non saprei dove mettere le mani.
