- Ireland once again gets hit by snow storms.
The winter conditions caused havoc for drivers but fun times in the snow for many children whose schools had closed.
Chaotic driving conditions affected bus services, and flights in and out of Dublin airport were cancelled or delayed.

The St. Patrick's weekend in 1979 was pretty bad too. It started on the Friday and continued much of the weekend that is one St. Patrick's weekend I won't forget anytime soon.

That wasn't even half as bad as the snow of 1982 or 2018
There was no bad snow in 2019. Late 2010, with the big freeze and the beast from the east in March 2018.
2009, 2010 were worse as it froze and lasted weeks. 2018 was very bad but lasted a few days only

@Alan Bird the snow of late 2009 always seems to be forgotten, and it continued on for some time. Late 2010 seemed to go on forever as the snow had pretty much put the country on pause.
