  • Do big, heavy lures scare fish away? We headed to a local spot on a really windy day to test this and found that the fish weren't put off by the size of the lure. In fact by the time felt the weight of the 250g Sumo Grumpy Fish, it was too late, they were already hooked and coming home for dinner!
This video provides really good evidence that a heavier lure can be a real asset on a windy day, even in shallow water.

I have seen these used on Dwhat's channel and they work very well.

Cheers! We reckon these heavier Sumo grumpy fish will work even better for Dwhats in the strong currents around Kapiti Island.

      Yes. It was windy as!
We need to invest in some better microphones. But it proves that the lures are really good in windy conditions

This is the worst sounding video ever, I'm surprised you sell anything. The lures look great though. Do they hold big fish or just the small ones you were catching ?.

You only buy lures if the video sounds good? Use them and you'll be singing your own song.

They work even better when there are more big fish present. That will be July to October in the hauraki gulf
