Sahil Londhe Hey bro if you're into metal guitar that is influenced by everything check out my soundcloud. I have been playing performing and producing for 30 years at least and although I am no Jeff Loomis I can hold my own still. I have 30 songs posted there where I play and produce. The latest song is called "Done" and I think you will enjoy. Just start there and let it move down the list and enjoy the journey my friend! soundcloud.com/real-diaz

When you say "that was fukn outrageous" its saying it was awesome, so quit being a literal turdknocker and keep it metal son!! Enjoy my music while you are at it. The first two songs on my soundcloud are not metal but as you move down the page it gets more and more intense and my metal roots come out in full glory. soundcloud.com/real-diaz/sets/real-metal-diaz-vocals-all Cheers!

I have seen Nevermore countless times. It's not unusual for them to sound this good live at all. Jeff and Chris were surgical. They did a show at Studio 7 in Seattle, recorded it, and then flew to Germany and I believe did two more. (Not just one.) And then, took the best full show as the core with some minor piece editing from the others, then mixed and mastered. That's how a DVD this good comes together. It's all live. Great Production. Long live fucking Nevermore. You are missed and we hope one day you will return in this form.

This is in rotation at all times in my phone shuffle for the car. Always really impressed with how precise and controlled Warrel is. It’s not often you get a great mix on stage to hear yourself well when trying to sing. This band is so unique. Relatively clean but powerful singer, great melodies. No Cookie Monster here and thank God because that would ruin this band. Fairly progressive at times but never venturing into masturbation and always keeping a core of a great metal riff or rhythm so the rockin’ don’t stop. Van is world class in every way. Even though there is a lot of technical excellence I just find them extremely musical. The technique serves the music, not the other way around.

Listening to Nevermore in the early 2000's, what drew my attention the most were the drums. How was that guy doing that? It's so precise, it can't be human. Still, Van Williams plays it live. EVERY TIME. So yeah, man, he definitely deserves more praise. I really don't know why he doesn't, one of the best metal drummers ever. In one of the best metal bands ever - which should also deserve more praise. Dead Heart in a Dead World is a first tier classic up there with the likes of Vulgar Display of Power, Master of Puppets, Chaos A.D. and other seminal, transformative albums. Oh, and if Warrel Dane isn't the most impressive "singer" per se (although he was always a very competent one), he was definitely an AMAZING lyricist, and that counts so, so much. There aren't many like him in heavy music, at all.

The music is not easy listening, even if many riffs are immediately catchy. You only understand a title like "Insignificant" after hearing it a few times, but you'll never get rid of it 😁
Very few bands that make music with depth get the attention they deserve. Look at Disillusion from Germany.

The mission of Van and Jim was to build and maintain an iron-clad unshakeable foundation for Warrel and Jeff to build a palace on. Van has great double base power, speed. I love his "galloping" style and his triplets. He always keeps a layered approach to his toms and symbols.I especially like how on linear longer passages, he will use a 3 or 4 hit spaced on his symbols to add flavor to the consistent pattern. He never shows off, though he easily could.

This concert is amazing. The band at peak performance. Many things from being there really gets through to the screen. But the thing that you only get a small glimpse of is the absolute intensity of a Nevermore live show. There's really nothing like being on the floor at one of these. Warrels energy was undeniable all the while hitting every note. Man I feel lucky I got to see them multiple times and sad I never will again.

This concert is just f*cking outstanding. Warrell is one of my favourite all time vocalists. And Nevermore are just musically so tight, heavy and on point at every moment. As much as I love bands like Arch Enemy, Carcass, Gojira, Kreator etc, epic singers like Warrell are the icing on the cake for heavy riffing bands.

I hope Jeff and Van Willians join the band again, they are great musicians. This band is fucking awesome, they have a particular sound, their own style. It sounds very diferent to me in comparison to another bands, the heaviness of the riffs played on a 7 string guitar, the creativity and the punch of van willians, the particular theactrical vocals of Warrel, the obscurity of the sound. They are not rockstars, it is like classical music, it is not on the top of the parades, but is pure gold. One of the best heavy metal bands in the world. I really hope they join back again... thanks from Brazil.

Discovered Sanctuary one day in a record store when looking for a new band to get into back into the 80's. The owner had a poster of Warrel on the door. Picked up Refuge Denied and I was floored, Then Into the Mirror Black. Saw Sanctuary at the Cameo Theater, right against the stage watching Warrel scream falsettos in my face. Pure awesome! The band disappeared and I always wondered what happened to them. Then I find Nevermore when getting some $3 mix CD's from Century Media . 7 Tongues was on one of them and I was like " these guys are God". Low and behold, own every album. Saw them at the Culture Room in Ft Lauderdale with Opeth. Holy shit what a show. Intelligent deep lyrics and music, not 32nd notes from start to end with no purpose. Yes, they sound this good live and they are still my most listened to band. Hard to find metal that sounds and is creative as this. The Learning is a totally under rated song. Man I miss these guys. What a perfect match musically from all aspects. Warrel, take care of yourself, make amends, get the guys together and do it again.
