I don’t know if it is really worth documenting or a homeless journey because the people who are homeless are not by choice and they do not have anything to fall back on but then in the back of your mind, somehow you know you got a home go back to. I think that makes a big difference physiologically.
This is an experiment in the essential question we all must ask ourselves; “If there is some aspect of our lives we don’t like, what can I do to change it?”

The only "head start" you have is no apparent distractions of abuse-related trauma, sex, violence, alcohol or drug addictions; which can result in homelessness and which can develop as a consequence of homelessness. Because you maintain a phenomenal moral compass (which will undoubtedly survive this journey intact and unscathed) you can show your viewers that homelessness can happen to anyone, at any time, and anywhere but it is a temporary state that can be successfully navigated. “The plan is no plan” but why Detroit. Go where the Gov. homeless friendly and the weather is good. The ideas is crazy but many people are traveling everywhere living in there cars and showering at gas stations or camp grounds.

I'm going to make $500 day 1 and buy a car... once I'm making $10,000 a month..... you realize $10k a month is a big deal.... I think there is merit to what you might be trying to do. If you can make it from absolute zero, meaning no money, no connections, but most importantly no record of your past, then anyone can. This would reveal that most people are in the situations they're in by choice. Notice I said "most"
Detroit is a median household income of ~$3100/month. Your income will likely need to come from online interaction (remote work) or trade skill. Good luck. Make sure you keep a parachute so you don’t stay in a bad situation. And keep a legal weapon on hand. Never know. There’s some wild people out there. Lots of good people. But some wild ones too.

i dont mean to "hate" but living in a state of homelessness is an extremely desperate situation for a human being to survive in. the people who experience it do not do so willingly. the vast majority will never even be noticed by society, living in their cars or friends' couches. it's extraordinarily sad, a misery that no one should have to experience.
Your plan is solid, my friend, but aiming for 10k a month might be a bit ambitious. Very few achieve that kind of income, especially while homeless. Consider finding a place to stay, even if it's just renting an apartment or getting a roommate. This will make reaching your goal of 10k/mo much more attainable. Maybe aim for stability once you hit 2K or 4K a month - that's already a substantial milestone!
