Columbia University President Minouche Shafik made the announcement on Tuesday evening (local time) that the organisers of the protests face a midnight deadline to reach an agreement to dismantle the pro-Palestinian protest encampment across the premises, claiming it has only heightened tensions and led to students feeling unsafe.
She said in case an agreement is not reached, the administration “will have to consider alternative options” for clearing the encampment, without elaborating how the sites will be cleared.

The young woman at the end is Jewish and articulate….but she has a very narrow vision of reality….a Jewish person who support the Palestinian cause are sad……October 7 is never mentioned or acknowledged…..by these young Jewish students….everything is self serving…..Islamophobia….how I am mistreated….poor me…the victim….all about what they want….sisters and brothers in Gaza….don’t care if I Israel is destroyed…..we have 3 demands…..like the world or the country cares….to their demands. Jews against Israel……sad….these young people or so self righteous………they demand….they expect the country or where the world does what they want. I would love to see this group respect a young Jewish student who would enter their group and dare to support Israel…..I don’t think they would be fair and understanding as they claim.
