The producers thought that if they brought Kendall, Joe would remember his love and want to be with her again or be at least conflicted and provide juicy drama. But Joe's not having it. He's not playing this game.

Serena is very mature for her age.
For some reason I believe that Kendal is required to feed into the "im here for you" narrative hence he didn't really understood her whole "but want to date here". First part is a requirement for her to join the beach. Producers just want to see where this goes if anywhere. and 2nd part is her.
What a sweetie Serena is…although I understand what Kendall would be feeling I feel like she doesn’t love him anymore just like he doesn’t with her and needs to explore other options who knows she could find her guy too…

he's so honest with her. and he's so smitten. the deal breaker was with kendall and him one's in west coast, one's mid west. with him and serena, she's from toronto, so much closer to him logistically and her moving wans't a big issue. congrats. she's so mature for her age in this era, so although they have a bit of an age gap, they're emotionally compatible.

Running into your ex is is usually awkward. I once saw an ex at a train station (I think his mom was on my train) coming home from work. I felt awkward with this imagine the awkwardness with Joe is probably even worst.

You can also just smile when you talk about a person you once loved. They obviously didn’t have a huge fight, so there are no hurt feelings on his side, besides her not being willing to try to move, but he still respects her.

@@franziskamaria5157 its not even that joe is obviously a jiggly and akward person so usually when people with that personality are put in weird and akward situations laughing and humor in general is their cope mechanism. there are people out there that laugh with a tragic event like death cause if they let themself sink everything in they get super depressed

Heres whats happening and why some people like this guy Joe find them selves being single: Its mainly because, he cant just walk away from Kendall the ex. He tells this girl hes into her, but that it could be weird because hes going to have conversations with Kendall...... If Joe was into this girl and REALLY wanted to see it through, he should not be having anymore "conversations" with Kendall. Period.... Lastly, this girl see's that she's entering into a really risky situation, but is willing to try it. Personally, they both could do better if they grew up. I learned this lesson when I was a teenager after the first heart brake. Happily married now and the drama is for these kiddos :D. We all learn different things at different times, but the growth will come after they learn to put their ex's in the past. You cant see whats ahead if your always looking back.

Great communication by Joe. Serena as well. I think things are over with Joe and Kendall. The only thing that would change that is if Kendall says she is willing to move. Kendall is stuck on her determination to stay in LA when her relationship should be bigger than that.
