  • Raising kids in Costa Rica is perhaps my proudest accomplishment. As Jonas and Daniel grow up here in Guanacaste, they're exposed to an absolutely special culture, they have unique opportunities to explore the great outdoors and we are all have a blast enjoying Costa Rica's fun activities.

    Thanks Matt, what kind of opportunities do you think your kids have in CR that they don't have in the US? Maybe a longer video in the future talking about that for my wife mostly :)

    Hi Matt , enjoy your content , was wondering what the CR public schools were like ? 🤙🙏

      Great question! It's important to understand that not all school districts in CR are the same, just like the US. We live in Guanacaste, one of the poorer provinces of the country, where you see that public schools reflect the same difficulties you'd find with poorer districts in the US. Most foreigners find that they would prefer to put their kids in private schools if they're able to; I am sure many people who live in areas with stronger school districts it's different; in Guanacaste you typically see foreigners going with private options!

      :) Sorry we couldn't get a quieter studio! The sicadas (or whatever they are) can sound crazy on video!
