I am 70 years old and a widow who is trying to learn so many things. I have had this trimmer for a couple of weeks and decided to go on you tube because all they had was pictures for directions. I found you and thank you from the bottom of my heart. I couldn't figure any of it out and I feel such a sense of accomplishment that I set it up and know how to use it with your help. Thank you!
Oh, I’m sorry to hear about your loss. But I’m so glad you found the video, and that you found it helpful. Thank you for sharing your story.
Glad I’m not only older widow (76) watching and learning how to use this. You are a perfect teacher! Thanks for taking the time to make this video. God bless.
@carolechapla6505 well, that’s kind of you. Appreciate it! I’m glad you stopped by.
Thanks! I'm 70 years old and just bought my 1st weed eater. Needed some help. You are a great explainer!

I’m 62 yr old woman and I try to do everything in my house that I can do myself. I heavily rely on CZcams.
Very easy to follow video. Helpful, thank you!
The only thing I need to know now is when do you need new string and how to release it.
I’ve never been able to string weed whackers. Don’t laugh. Any videos?videos.
I'd never laugh. Completely understand. Here's a video that's a few years old that should help! Good luck!

Thank you so much for this video. I started reading the instructions with all of the warnings and just needed something simple and visual. I’m up and running!!
Excellent! Yeh, the “instructions “ they provide are just overwhelming and not easy to follow. Thanks for watching.
Thank you so much for your video. You included elements not found in the assembly directions - thank you! I’m a single mom having to learn some of this for the first time and I feel more empowered now. You have a new subscriber!
That’s great to hear! Yeh, the instructions just aren’t good at all. Glad you found everything helpful.
Great video! Very clear explanations. I just got this trimmer and had NO idea how to set it up. I'm very happy you made this video as the instructions that came with it were non-existent.
Yeh, the instructions leave a bit to be desired! Glad you found the video helpful. Appreciate the feedback!
Thank you so much for being such a good teacher. You guided me step by step in a way that was so easy and effortlessly. I used to do my Mum's yard back in the 80's and using a trimmer was a breeze. I am now 68 and need to take care of my small yard . The idea of using a trimmer again was challenging. Until I found your video tutorial. Thanks to you I'm back on the saddle again!

I agree with the 70 year old I needed help and you provided that. I fdud have some trouble right off the bat though due to the wire guard on the front I didn't realize it moved and I couldn't get the guard all the way on ..after going back 6 or 7 times to that portion I realized you didn't have one on yours and I figured it wasn't necessary. Thanks again!
Glad it helped!
Thank you! I appreciate the tutorial!

Does the line feed each and every time you release the trigger (like my Greenworks trimmer) or is this "intelligent" enough to only feed more line when the line becomes short?
Good question. It only feeds when the line becomes short.
Just ordered one on Amazon to replace my garbage gas-powered weed wacker. On a side note, who makes your hoodie?
Good luck with the new one! The hoodie is from the Gap. Lol.
@@daddoesvideos Thank you!
OK, next step? How to reload the trimmer line .... Help !!
Here you go: czcams.com/video/ruI3Vx7nRUw/video.htmlsi=EDJ_56oh3mOmZKw-
How does the string get longer when it gets too short? Please advise
Hey there. It’s automated. There’s a mechanism in the trimmer that feeds more line when the line gets short.
@@daddoesvideos please show me this . So I do not have to do anything special?.Thanks
That’s correct. You don’t have to do anything special!
@@daddoesvideos so new advancement from black and decker vs hitting that button to get extra line to come out
Right. On some of their models, there’s a button to get the extra line out. On this one, there isn’t. It automatically does it for you.
Quick question so I been using .065 string and the string just rips fast when edging so i was wondering if i can use .080 string.
Hey there. I’d probably just stick with the manufacturer’s suggestion of .065. But I get why you’d want to try. I would guess if the .089 string fits through the hole, you could try it. Might take more power to spin and I’d guess the trimmer would t hold as much and might get a bit noisier? Be curious how it works if you give it a shot.
@@daddoesvideos okay thanks yeah it sucks because I been using the .065 and it just rips through the string easily especially when I’m edging string ripes so easy and fast
Yeh, I get how that would be frustrating. I’ll be interested to hear how the .080 line goes!
Thank you ❤
You are welcome!
and. the wheel to cut the edges?
Hey there. I’m unsure what you are asking?
How long does the 2A battery last per use?
It’s going to depend on how thick the area is that you are edging or trimming. More brush/thickness equals lesser run time. It’s not a gas-powered edger so it’s not going to last as long as you want. Definitely less than an hour. You can always take back to Home Depot if you aren’t satisfied.
The safety button does not work. Can i fix this?
That’s weird. Can you not push it or does the trimmer turn on without you pressing the safety button?
Orange and blue U VA or SYR
Lol. Neither, just a coincidence!
Just got mine from Amazon battery 🪫 last 3 mins max 😢 maybe my unit is bad
Weird. Yeh, maybe send it back!
@@daddoesvideos I will ask for a replacement battery 🪫
@lubergonzalez2247 might as well. Battery should last way longer than a few mins.
Just got mine from Amazon & was surprised to that use time was very short & 7-8 min. Max, I hope it gets better.
@@lucycat2576 Weird. Make sure you let the battery fully charge. I’d say it should last 25 mins or so with frequent stops and starts, assuming you are edging/trimming normal length grass.
