One of the first horror (survival) games I have ever played. This was one of the first games of my channel. Back in 2013 I recorded the entire game, but in only 480p, as I didn't know about HD resolution stuff. I just thought I'd replay this, since I totally love this game, its expansion and a very special mod based on the movie. Enjoy!

Story: On a routine hunt on Planet LV1201 a lone Predator finds a mysterious Artifact with the power to keep the savage Aliens at bay, and as legend has it, even control their minds. The Predator triggers a stasis field, trapping him for 500 years until Dunya, a human Corporate mercenary, unwittingly frees him and escapes with the Artifact. Meanwhile, a lone PredAlien seeks to destroy the Artifact to preserve the sanctity of the Hive. Now the hunt is on to retrieve the mystical Artifact before Dunya escapes back to safety.

For anyone curios - if you're stuck at the 2-nd Elecrified Vent - the switch to turn it off is AT THE VERY BEGINNING OF THE LEVEL

There are two shafts, one is them leading to a lots of metal grids, smash a couple of them (one is above you) and you'll enter a room with a switch to turn that shit off
This is beyond bad, I fucking hate this game
21:30 I remember getting stuck here for years and just writing off the campaign as broken. Until I saw a youtube video similar to yours. This is probably the worst example of not showing your players where to go.

Didn’t expect to see recent commentary about this but I finally got around to playing the expansion after having greatly enjoyed the original game and I’m glad to see other people just as frustrated with the terrible level design as I am.

Aside from the queen
Minigun synthetics are the worst. They instantly snipe you without being alert. And on a weapon that requires prespin. They just don't care. "Minigun goes brrrrr!!"

Say what you will about AVP R, at least that film gave a better Predalien design.
Not a fan of that design either, most Predalien designs are too OTT, especially with how they try to portay them as bosses rather than just moderately stronger Xenos, the one in the 2010 AVP game has the design visually (if you remove the dreadlocks), but the ones in this game have the best in-game portrayal (basically being stronger than average enemies but not boss fights)

26 minutes, and less than half of that as an adult Predalien... LOL, and they complain about *modern* FPS campaigns.
Err, this was just an Expansion pack to AVP 2 before DLCs were a thing. Expansion packs were pretty rare in PC games.
It's an expansion douchebag. But it's really short, even for an expansion.

Any tips for installing this? I am not a noob but primal hunt cannot even be installed. It can't find the base game. The same applies for the patch, the base game cannot be found. Very strange.
Look for the channel AVPUNKNOWN they made a whole patch to fix this and multiplayer too it should be in the description

I loved it, but it's kinda hard. I played this on Normal difficulty and even now as an adult, it is ridiculously hard.
Predator campaign in primal hunt is still fun to play even on hard difficulty.
But the other 2 campaigns in PH are almost impossible to beat on hard....
Original game has better level design tho.
