- 🌿FRIENDS!!! This video has taken me a hot minute to get together and to be honest I still wasn't able to get all the things accomplished that I had on my list for this video. I hope ya'll will forgive me and be patient as I hope to share with you some updates that I make as soon as time allows. Working full time plus trying to share two videos a week can be a bit much at times, but I always love sharing with you. I can't thank you for all of your loyal and kind support. I hope todays video will inspire you to go out and decorate your home even if things aren't exactly as you would like them to be. Sadly my Daddy isn't here anymore and even though my sister bought our childhood home my Daddy's shop has pretty much stayed the same. She still lets me keep all of my things there and I'm always so thankful. If I could only visit with my Dad, he was the smartest man I have ever known. It's always a good day when we can use what we have and enjoy. I've thought about you so much downsizing and it makes me want to do the same. You're always such an inspiration and I love that we have kindred spirits. Thank you for watching and thank you for being one of my friends!

The porch turned out so nicely! I love the red and pink geraniums and the black and white theme! What a gift getting those gorgeous big stone planters for free! The peonies are beautiful. Here in CT, my dwarf rhododendron are in full bloom in a bright pink color, and my white and purple lilac bushes will be in bloom within the next couple of weeks. 🥀❤🥀

The piece you rescued from storage is great with the clay pots , birdhouse and watering can. You never need to apologize to us. I’m guilty of thinking at times I don’t want to do a video unless everything is just right. I know things at my house will never be perfect and right now our porches are covered with pollen and those curly things that make a horrible mess. You picked out some plants that I love and gave me some ideas for my porch. Love the bow on your wreath. My challenge on my front porch is that it is shady until mid afternoon when it gets scorching sun. Your peonies are spectacular. So many varieties. Thank you for sharing your videos. Porch looks so welcoming! If you want to cover the bricks in your planter, use a coco mat and you could use floral wire to wire the lantern and wreath to the planter. Just a thought! What ever you do is always beautiful!!

18:43 I think your porch looks so pretty.When we downsized 7 years ago our house had a big open porch like yours and I loved it.We enclosed it and made it more of a sunroom so the Grandkids had a room to play with all their toys.Toys are hidden in an old pie safe and primitive cupboard so I can still decorate the porch.I do miss the open porch ,but nice to have more room we can use all year.Cant wait to put some plants on the landing.I usually do all my flowers around Mothers day.Love your creeping jenny,Im going to definitely look for some of that.Have a great weekend!

I love your videos and any kind of glimpse I can get of your beautiful home. Front porch decorating and planting flowers is always a fun watch for me! But I would have loved to see footage of the whole porch from out a bit. I don’t know if I’m wording it right but if you’d step out into the front yard some and get some video of the whole view of the porch. ❤️
I'm so sorry I didn't get all the footage I thought I was getting. I will have to do a porch update and I will certainly pull back further so you can see more. I was just upset that I didn't get my front beds mulched and weeded like I was hoping. I plan to work on the brick columns soon and I will show more of my porch then. Oooo. Please, don't apologize. You are so sweet.. Life's not perfect. You have a job. Everyone knows how busy it can be. I for one love what you share, WHEN you can share. The flowers are gorgeous, but don't plant that creeping Jenny in your yard. I don't know about where you live, but it just takes over here. It's so invasive. I wish we'd never put it in. Now don't be upset with me, but my favorite part of your porch is the Holy Spirit welcome sign. Where did you get that! And maybe clay pots come next. I'm a must have clay pots kind of gal. I do get overwhelmed sometimes and I always worry that things are perfect enough for me to share, but I'm learning that the imperfections in life can be beautiful too! I haven't planted the creeping Jenny in my yard only my pots, but I have planted another ivy vine that seems to take over everything. I'm constantly pulling it out, I wish like you I had never planted it. Thank you for the tip on the creeping Jenny though! I made the Holy Spirit sign and had it in my home for years but I thought it seems perfect for my porch instead of sitting in my storage closet. I was really lame this year and bought fake ferns from hobby lobby and put in my urns ! I just saw the video of your front porch. I love how the weathered shelf along with the wicker chair went well together. I would love to see how the porch looks after you switch it around, like you mentioned. Overall, you did a great job. I love it. I’m thinking of purchasing ferns for my porch as well.
Thank you! I've had that chair in my dads shop for years without using it so I was thrilled that it worked on my porch. I just love it! First.. don't apologize sweetheart, we all understand! You have A job and that's important. We all have priorities. We know you'll be filming as sun as you can, but don't worry, we're right here😊 Love those beautiful roses🌹 I always use creeping jenny in all my outside planters, its a great filler and it comes back every year. Once it starts growing you can pinch pieces off and stick them anywhere in dirt and they'll grow! I love mixing the green & purple sweet potato vines. I do like you, buy all the different small plants & make my own planters.. and pack them full😊 Begonias in all the varieties & colors, and coleus'are my favorite things to plant, i have great luck with those. Your porch looks beautiful, love the huge planters! The flower beds are beautiful too! I feel like all the colors are in.. you can take any color and make it work. I think the black & white looks good on your porch and with red & white flowers, its perfect! I love adding Terra cotta pots to front porch decor or in flowers beds. I have some on my plant stands and a few tiny ones in my inside decorations. Actually I haven't planted anything this year, waiting to see if we move. I have a large porch and i usually pack it out! But I want to see what size porch I'll have before i do anything. The peonies are beautiful too!❤ Please continue to remember our family in prayer, my husband's week be losing his brother at any time, they haven't been able to get a blood pressure in a couple days, he's seeing heaven & angels, we knife its any time now. This will be the second son his mom has lost. His oldest brother passed about 8yrs ago, and this is one of her baby boys, he's a twin. Also thank you for that verse, i sure need that peace, going thru so do much right now. His brother, trying to but a house, and my daughter need prayer badly, she just has demons she can't seen to conquer. But I know someone who can! Just pray she gives her heart back to God, she has a 3yr old & a 4yr old and they need they're mommy. Thank you and lots of love & blessings. Let me apologize..i know i get long winded, but i know you love the Lord and will pray for me, i feel like you're a true friend, we have lots in common. Love the flowers on your porch. I am wondering though about the geraniums next to your door. Do they get enough sunlight in that location? My geraniums don’t do well unless they get several hours of direct sunlight each day.
Tammy I sure hope so, but I'm not sure. Geraniums always remind me of my Mother and I always want them but they I haven't had the best of luck with them on the porch. I would hate to have to move them but I might have to. I just couldn't pass up those beauties. Fingers crossed but I might need to find another plant to replace it.
