Hi Renee
I would like to make my own body butter for personal use. There is no cream or lotion on the market that works for me. I have extremely dry skin. Everything I use do not penetrate and moisturize my skin. It sits on top and back dry.
The only thing that works is Vaseline. I would like to make something that will work like that and stay. My skin is so dry it’s starting to have that crepey skin look .
Nothing keeps it moisturized. Please help. Thank you

Yes you can use a different carrier oil, just make sure it's one that easily absorbs into the skin.

Why not melt Shea Butter? Melting takes care of any impurities in the Butter too. I don’t know just a thought watching the Butter being too clumpy.
