Thanks for the vid. I was born in Cairo at St. Mary's Hospital in 1950. My dad died there in 1986. I have watched many vids of Cairo and it is really depressing. I left southern Illinois in the 70s after serving 5 years in the Navy and moved to TN. After my dad passed in 1986 I moved my Mother to TN with me and haven't been backs since. Cairo's history is so sad. I loved growing up in Cairo and Mounds and knew so many great people. My Father owned two businesses in Cairo and Mounds and I remember in the 50s Cairo was a bustling place, especially on Friday night. The buildings my Father owned have been torn down and it is hard to recognize the streets now. Where are you from and why did you go to Cairo? just interested.
    Thanks

Thank you so much for watching. That is so interesting! It is such a shame what happened to the town. I am from Central Illinois and have always known about Cairo. Me and some friends were in a road trip to North Dakota, and we where heading to Nashville, made a whole day out of exploring Cairo. Such an interesting feel. I have never been to a place like it. Did you just ask her does she like living in Cairo….omg I can’t believed you ask that question. From the videos and learning I’m receiving I would not “like” to live in Cairo. I don’t think anyone does else we wouldn’t become aware of their issues. No disrespect Bryce but where is the humanity. Since you did this video have you done something for Cairo? Have you donated money to a cause there. Did you go speak to the neighborhood people about Cairo. No because in reality you yourself don’t want to face the harsh realities. It’s like you just took something from Cairo and gave nothing in return. Maybe I’m wrong but I’m just trying to understand what’s to like about living in Cairo.

I appreciate your honestly about it being for entertainment. I did not want to come off as angry either in my comments. Thank you for answering with respect and manners hope I was also respectable in my comments. Thank you for the video though just learning about this place I kinda of took a heart for it.

@@ThearchyExpunge99 No problem! Yea I understand it's over the top at times. And I wanted to build an otherworldly atmosphere with the town. It's unfortunate what happened to the town and it's residents. Thanks again for watching. I appreciate it!
