Why ?
Because when filming Viggo broke his toe whilst filming The Two Towers. Apparently Colin did his foot in filming this.

Its so cool how they incorporated Emma's theme into her actual storyline because her theme song has been around since season 1, I love the connection! Also out of all shows to have a musical episode this one makes the most sense because of disney, i just love all the songs!
The great part is that it is all their own voices...No one knew they could actually sing so great. Well, Josh Dallas has sang in musical theater and Colin was a singer in a band....So those two I knew could sing...But I love Rebeccas voice...It was amazing.

Shall we just agree this is the best musical episode of any show ever? Thank you. The songs are so good! The behind the scenes featurette on this episode is really great as well :D Thankfully the soundtrack is on Spotify and I imagine any other streaming services, I've listened to it a million times!
I do love this musical quite a lot. But it is difficult to topple OMWF for me personally :D

This is my all-time top favorite episode of the whole series.
Such a fun episode with all of the songs. The actors and actresses all doing their own singing.
My favorite songs from this episode: "Powerful Magic"(Snow & Charming), "Revenge is Gonna Be Mine"(Captain Hook), "Wicked Always Wins"(Zelena), "Emma's Song"(Emma), and of course "A Happy Beginning"(Emma and Killian).
After a few rough starts, Killian and Emma finally got married in a beautiful ceremony. Loved that Archie officiated it. And then came the Black Fairy's curse at the end.
Definitely looking forward to the season 6 finale episode reaction. That's a great episode.

I actually downloaded the songs from this episode onto my Playlist after I watched this episode. I loved it so much the songs were so good.
Tbh I did that with Once More with Feeling as a Christmas present to myself (i had a rough year so I had to treat myself) since it was also a few days before Christmas I first watched that episode so I get you 😅

There are some good behind-the-scenes videos about this episode, both official documentary-style ones and some recordings of convention panels. 12:39 Apparently they had to reshoot part of the rooftop dance scene because Lana and Bex were dancing _very inappropriately_ in the background when they mistakenly thought they were off-camera 😂
my favourite song is definitely Hooks song (i am a bit obsessed with pirates lmao), all of them are great tho, and man David's actor is a SINGER listen to that man

FINALLY.
After this episode aired I immediately downloaded the songs from this episode on my Spotify! I’m a sucker for musical episodes! I love musicals in general! But this episode really worked well in my opinion because it’s fairytale characters and that Henry was the one who found the answer in the storybook because he’s the author now! And I love killigan’s song because it felt like a sea shanty which fits for his pirate theme especially back in the day! Musical episodes are interesting because they could definitely not work but for this show I believe it does work!
And the wicked witch’s song is basically was her line she always said “wicked always wins”
Personally my favourite song from this is Wicked Always Wins, it just feels like it could have come straight out of Wicked the Musical!

Oh god...I am remembering my drunk OMWF with Dukey xD Tbh I don't think he's seen this episode yet since he's pretty much closed up shop for the most part on reacting but maybe who knows xD
The only bad thing about this episode is Emma's hair before the wedding and Rumple's not pulling off an epic villain song. What actors lacked in voice sometimes they compesate it with emotion and/or hammyness
