Look forward to the maiden.... Thanks for sharing and great job on the build.
Thanks 👍
I would use hot glue to fix the servo connectors. This give you additional security.
Great looking bird, you’ll love the way it handles
I’m sure it’ll be amazing.
Sky wing It's putting up some amazing models Recommended them to a friend after he lost his pilot Laser 260 To a design flaw in a stabilizer mount Got is from Northwest as well Amazing quality and exceptional list of features Not normally found on other models You're going to love the larger size Planes In good luck with your hanger rebuild Can't wait to see your maiden
Lovely looking plane. Ill be interested to see what flight times you can squeeze out of it with the electric power plant. With dual receivers, this will be the time to let the X10+ make the decisions about failsafe.
This motor/prop/volts combo should draw about 100a @ peak. I'm forecasting 6-7m depending on how I fly it. The 2nd Rx is built and ready to install.
Hi Rc Video Review, Im really impressed with your explanation on detail. It is super easy to listening and understand what you seeing.
I have a question for you!
Can you tell me how you balance your rc aircraft( some guys that i know including my self using finger method, for lighter rc aicraft, but how about like 14 lbs or more heavy rc plane? ( don't tell me that you use a Vanessa rig) pls
Thanks
I actually printed a 3D stand. These larger planes usually balance on the wing spar (this one does). So the stand is designed to hold the plane on the spar. I've also found after flying a large number of EF/SW planes: If you use the gear they recommend, the planes will fly. As long as I can get it up and down, I tune my CG by flying it and assessing its behavior in-flight.
Very nice you're probably going to love it and the bigger they are the better they fly
Thanks Dave. Looking forward to flying this big baby.
great video as usual! Really looking forward to the maiden..Good Luck!
Thanks. I'm looking forward to it too :)
Very nice, might be the most genuin looking rc I've seen, what a beaut..
Thank you. Yes, it's a beautiful plane.
What a beautiful plane so looking forward to the maiden
take care
Thanks Robert. I'm excited to fly this plane. I'm sure it's going to look great in the sky.
You better build a new shop to hold all of that. Very nice plane. Looking forward to the maiden flight.
You're right about that. Hangar renovation is well underway! I've sold out a bunch of smaller planes and took down their racks to make room for this big mama!
Freaking sweet plane now i have to get one
Awesome review. Looking forward to your Madian of this great looking bird. Go Fly something John. OH! you likely are.
Flying has been scarce lately, but I got this one in thankfully.
Expresslrs?, I thought that was a drone thing, never heard that mentioned in pmane use.
All of my EF and Skywing planes have ELRS. In v3.0 they added full res channels for 1-8 and 1-16 at half rate (166hz).
12s at what current? Total wattage through the motor on the order of 3 kilowatt?
120a peak with a 24x10 for ~4855w input.
Thought it was a real plane in the thumb nail 😂
Lol, yeah, it definitely has some presence.
Can you post the flight vid please?
I will when I fly it :) Hoping to maiden tomorrow.
Where'd 'ya get it? The affiliate links just go to Amazon and Banggood, but no product.
The only place in the US that sells Skywing is NorthwestRC. I thought that would be easy enough to find, but I put the link in the description.
There’s one other place, and that’s Full Throttle RC. They’re based in Virginia, the Midwest, and in Arizona
What process did you use to figure out where the motor mounts where located on the firewall? I hope you did a video of this work.
No video. There were markings for gas engines. I did the scientific method of centering the radial mount for the Dualsky on those markings, and hitting the radial mount holes with a punch.
@@RCVideoReviews OK. I've used a similar method. Hoped you had a better way. 😁Thanks for the reply.
Really nice plane too bad the average flyer can't afford anything like that! Consider yourself blessed!
I do...I've been very fortunate.
what KV motor?
190Kv
now your getting into rc. now try building and go gas so you can fly more , electric is ok but as you will find out bigger flies better. . arfs brought on laziness. but they have gotten nice in the early days of arf's many issues with thrust angle , incidence etc.
I've built a ton--scratch built several of my own designs too. Electric for me though--just have no interest in IC setups right now.
add it to thingaverse
Here it is: www.thingiverse.com/thing:5641616
Way overpriced!
You wouldn’t say that once you flown one.
@@millerrc5829 yes I would
@@davesaldana7263 lol trust me I said the same until I flown one now there pretty much the only planes I buy shure there expensive but you get what you pay for.
