    • @nicoladc89

      In 2006 Pirlo was by far the best player in the world. He deserved the Ballon D'or. In Ancelotti's Milan people always praised Shevchenko and Kakà, but half of the credit for the greatness of that Milan belonged to Pirlo.
      Many people only realized how Great Pirlo was when he went to Juventus, but at Juventus he was half of Pirlo at Milan. The Ballons D'or won by Shevchenko, Kakà and Cannavaro belong to Andrea.

    In all my years of watching football, I’ve never seen a passer like Pirlo and with that much creativity. And for those that might think of Xavi, then they never really saw Pirlo play nor do they understand the details of football. Not to go into much details, Xavi hardly risked losing balls by trying long passes. Pirlo was passing anywhere and everywhere with excellent precision. Most Spanish play short passing game, they pass between themselves still a window opens up. Pirlo did more than that, took it further, from defence to attack with just one pass.

    • @utkarshkumar4764
      @utkarshkumar4764 Před 3 měsíci +3

      Exactly, and when i say Toni is one pf the greats because he did things like this exactly long shorts control pace everything with great accuracy not many can do that, yes xavi was great at controlling the game and pace of game but they are really overhyped in terms of people think that they are way above players like Pirlo, Toni. They are more or less at same level maybe little bit one is better tha other in one aspect of game, but overall they are at same place.

      That's why I keep saying that Pirlo's long passes are better than today's top players'. Pirlo and Riquelme, the only two players who could set tempo of the game simply by walking on the pitch. Watching them play it feels like football isn't as hard as it seems. What a genius player.

      @@VICKEY_DESIGN There are good players now like Jude Bellingham, Musiala, Le Fee, Brahim, Zaire Emery, Rodrygo, Wirtz, Pedri... It's not fair to close your eyes, then say the world is ugly. Those are the mainstream players, there are a lot of exciting players out there in other leagues as well. Look out more. Give them a chance.

    As a defender, it isn't the guy calling for the ball that you have to worry about, it's the guy slipping in quietly to the back post.
    Having someone calling loudly for the ball is a good distraction tactic to rearrange the defense. The fact that Pirlo didn't want him yelling indicates that he actually wanted to get him involved more.
