When my only daughter died two years ago, I listened to this song for hours at a time, over and over again. Worse thing I have ever gone through in my life. Her birthday is today. She would have been 45. Please pray for me. Thanks. May 17, 2020.
So sorry for your loss. I know your heartbreak. I lost my daughter 5 years ago June 4. The next year, June 18, 2016 my only son committed suicide. This month, June, is always a hard month for me. This song kept running through my mind about a year ago so I looked it up here on CZcams and have been listening to it ever since.

On my way home from work, I was thinking of my younger brother and this song came to me. He succumbed to depression 7 years ago at the age of 45. Not a day goes by that I don't think of him and miss him. Grief has no time limit.
I think about how amazingly deep God's love is for us must be, which we can't even fathom as He created us to have such deep love for others. I have faith that I will see my brother again when my time here is through and Jesus brings me home.
I pray for all that are grieving their loss(es) that Jesus will provide comfort and hope. Please know that you matter! God promises He will wipe away every tear. I am counting on that promise! God bless.
Wow, you must be my long lost twin sister, this is like reading my own life - except my younger brother succumbed to depression 15 years ago at 51 years old. I am now 68 years old today. You left when I needed you most. My wife and dear friend passed this last March 2020 of pancreatic cancer. She fought for two and half years. Watching her struggle everyday was a knife to my heart. This song brings it all back to me, the good and the bad. She is with me in my heart and all of the memories we made. Will never stop loving her, as I go thru her things I find cards I gave her years and years ago. I recently found parts of a dried up rose I gave her before we were married. Love you Connie.

I am also grieving, my partner passed away suddenly in May 2021..My heart is broken. ..we were together for 44 years, met at work , never married or had any children, but we were so happy. Like your self i have found special wee notes we sent to each other,he kept everything., christmas,birthday,valentine cards in sent him over the years.
My life changed in a split second for ever...it's so different and difficult to cope at times.

I'm sorry for your loss my father passed away in September of 96 from lung cancer even as long ago as that's been it still hurts just as bad now as it did then I won't say time heels it doesn't I can't say it gets easier it doesn't but I know I'll see him again one day that does get me through
Broke up with a girlfriend, my first real love in 1987, during the course of drive home from Gainesville to Fort Pierce in Florida, I heard this song on 3 different radio stations in a span of 4 hours, cried my eyes out because it was a mutual decision due to the distance between us and pressure from her family. Really sucked, I can still feel that pain today...what made it worse is that shortly after the break up my grandmother died and I went into a deep, dark hole, tried to get my ex back but she said she couldn't, she wouldn't even write to me as a friend when I left for Army Basic Training later that year. But, have been married to an amazing woman for 30 years this November and we have 3 wonderful, handsome sons together, still every now and then I wonder about my first love and where she may be and wish her nothing but happiness.

I have a similar scenario. However, i didnt find anyone to replace her. Failed at the marriage i did enter into and soon divorced. Never remarried. Been divorced 27 years now. Hurt a lot of fine women along the way. Always searched for the "next best thing" that was ever so elusive. She did write to me in prison though, but i suspected her motives. She occasionally resurfaces and tries to wedge herself into my life. I am cordial but i resist. What we had died 30 years ago. And i never got over that.

I can relate to this song. 2 years ago these lyrics became a reality to me. My wife , my partner of 30 years decided she didn't want to be married anymore. we had been together since 1988. it ripped me apart. I still cry when I think about it which is almost every day. I suffer deep depression on a regular basis. one day it will get the better of me.

My beautiful wife of 27 years, left me suddenly on the 20th of June 2013 succumbing to illness, just when I needed her most. Although its more than four years now, I still miss her dearly.
Life for me stood still on that day, today its just half of me that lives with her memory deeply etched within me.
I long for the day when God's promise recorded in the Bible Book of John 5; 28-29 will be fulfilled, to welcome her back in Paradise.

I never once even told you that I loved you after all you did raising so many kids. I was sitting in class when I got the news but you were already gone when I got there. Your body was still warm so I sobbed on your chest. When mom had the big oak tree cut down it felt I lost you again, you were that big in my life. I have your hair shaver & your gray hair is still in it. It's like life doesn't really exist after loosing you. Thank you Dad for teaching me about Heaven where I will see you again.

I had quit doing heroin on 3-8-2013. My fiance was the only person who had faith as I tried for many unsuccessful years to quit. He was right I did quit. I I unexpectedly quit on his bday. 8-20-2013 God took him away from me. Today I miss him, however proud to have had a man like him with a loving heart moves me forward, with much happiness. I think it's safe to say that this song tears at the heartstrings of those who've lost a loved one. I too lost my husband when I needed him most...we needed each other most. It's been 9 years now since God called my beloved back home and forced me to stand on my own 2 feet for the first time in 40 years. We had always done everything together. We were each other's best friend, strength, and comfort. So many people will tell you that it gets easier... it didn't for me. I still cry every day because I miss him every day. I think for me it will always be this way. He was my first love and the deepest most devoted. This song is so sad and perhaps I shouldn't listen to it because it stirs the emotions of lost love. But it also strangely comforts me as I listen to each word the artist sings. My experience of loss is that it takes about 15 years for the pain to stop, then after 20 years the memories are sweet and tender.

I keep coming back to this song. Aug 2015 my niece,her unborn baby,2 yr old son and 8 yr old daughter died in a car wreck. My niece was like my daughter,her babies were like my grandbabies. Sept. 2015 my brother died in his sleep,not just my brother but my fav sibling,my best friend. There was 8 of us. Oct 2015 my aunt died in her sleep. My fav aunt. I took care of her after her husband and daughter passed. She was my 2nd mom. I miss them all so much.

I was 21, and had orders for West Germany. She was 16. Shortly after I arrived, about a month, I guess, my parents wrote me that she was gone. I'm a three time loser , I have loved three men at different times in my life and they have all left me. I have lupus and none of them could take my illness . They did until I got sick again, I got a beautiful son from one of them but when this song asks where I'll find comfort the answer is God and loving ones self enough to be able to go on, this song is paying homage to the loves of my life and thank you for leaving me to find peace in my self

+Molly Mayor I have an incurable bowel illness and have had it removed, sure i lost people who couldn't cope with accidents, but now I'm with one lady who ignores my illness and likes me for me, been with her for seven years now. she remained with me when I went into hospital many time during the past 7 years. don't give up, just when you least expect to find that one person, they will come into your life, you could be in your local village doing some shopping or filling your car with fuel. who knows, but it will happen x

My wife left, this was years ago, and everyone since too. We take and find comfort were and when we can. Love yourself! And I got two beautiful daughters out of it. They give me all the reason to carry on I need.

Go head and let the tears out Robert. It is totally OK to cry over someone you love. There's a guy that I still love up to this day. I discovered him in a TV show and I had loved him ever since. When I found out that he was taken I took it so hard that I came down with bad chest pains, but I still love him up to this day & he is worth all the pain whether anybody else think so or not.
