    X I have the same type of beard as you. I just bought a heat device. I haven't used it. I may not. I do your night routine, twisting it after applying my product and that works well for. Sometimes I take my twist out and leave it uncombed and I get mad compliments. So again, thank you for the knowledge you put out. ✌🏿️

    I purchased an Andis blow dryer that has a cold button allowing for less heat, but the faster drying from the fan. I will implement a night routine for my hair type and moisturizing. I do agree that being gentle with thick curly beards.

    Thank you this video really helped me out because I just got a cordless beard straightener for Christmas I used it twice now my beard been feeling dry and it look different I think it's probably extra curly now and my beard was like how you describe your beard. straight in the front a little curly on the side. You said avocado oil and beard conditioner help with strengthen your beard from heat damage?

    Good vid man I was thinking about doing this awhile back and just said screw it. I'm glad I didn't do it because there wasn't much point in taking a long term risk for a short term look. I'm actually liking the fuller look i'm getting from just letting my hair grow naturally and trimming here and there as opposed to the heated straight look.

    You know I definitely consider this anyway to avoid having too many breakage is to probably do something just to soft and straighten my beard but I can really understand based on your advice that you wouldn’t recommend it that’s why if I was ever going to do this it would be if all else fails but I’m really trying to avoid it

    Thanks for the info, I have the curly tight beard , Im not going to try it yet until I can get it more straight. Thanks again for the info , could you use the new scotch porter leave in conditioner for the heat protection that you were talking about.

    • @BeardedExistence
      @BeardedExistence  Před 5 lety

      Robert Payne if you are going to use heat and you haven’t done it before I would purchase a heat protectant first until you get comfortable with using the perfect amount of heat just to make sure you have the right amount of protection. The Scotch Porter leave In is pretty new so I will have to look at it!👍🏾👍🏾👊🏾

    I was considering using heat. In fact I already ordered the Shawty Red hot pick. But after watching this maybe I should send it back. My beard is has the two styles with the chin being more straight and rest with tight coils. Are there any products you would recommend because lately it just seems like my beard has been hard to manage. I currently use Scotch Porter, Koils by nature and Shea Moisture beard products

    • @BeardedExistence
      @BeardedExistence  Před 4 lety

      Check out my recent video best method for a dry beard. Co wash regularly and if your beard is long enough you can give the twisting method a shot. I would caution against the hot pick👊🏾

      Sounds like it could be heat damage hard to say if it’s not too bad it may be able to be repaired with care or you may have to grow it out and trim off the damaged hair. It’s almost impossible for me to say without seeing it do a deep condition and see how it responds👊🏾
