- This video is a breakdown of Criston Cole's character from the new TV show "House of the Dragon" and how the fan's backlash of him is eerily similar to that of Joffrey Baratheon from "Game of Thrones".

It's a real shame and highly disturbing that some people can't distinguish between the character and actor.
Yea I think most people do distinguish. Maybe I'm on twitter too much after the episodes where I see people genuinely upset at the actual actor
I agree. It's so childish.
I think people are eager to jump into another reality in a way. With GOT already established, people have been itching for more and are ready to be back in that world similar to how it was w thrones
He is definitely not on the level of Ramsay or Joffrey
well the main reason everyone hates cole is because he is a hypocrite and extremely spiteful and petty and thinks he's smart honorable but if anything he's extremely irrational and dishonorable
There is a main difference between Cole and Ramsay or Joffrey. Cole is the kind of person you can find in your daily life and would definitely hate. But Ramsay and Joffrey are kind of fictional evil that are rare... I would say there will be more audiences are hating Cole on a personal level instead of just being shocked by pure evil.
...i guess adult viewers are a minority now?
Fabien Frankel probably gets as many thirst comments as hate comments. Either could be cause to disable comments since both get disgusting, I'm sure. There's also the Green VS Black fights that breakout in the comments as well. The show is meant for mature audiences, but an adult on paper is not necessarily mature. As and adult, I still obnoxiously squee at things from time to time, but I restrain that to acceptable settings. I hate Cole for his anti-bastard and homophobic rhetoric from the book and taking his anger toward an adult out on her children in the show, but I'm not going to take it out on the actor. (Unless fan art of his character dying counts, I haven't made any, but it just popped into my head.) I understand how villains work and how SOMEONE has to bring them to life.
Actors are acting there not the characters they play I in no way cadone the actor getting hate for characters they play and I get freedom of speech fine as long as you aren’t causing mental harm
A lot of unstable people who, once upon a time were put in places for being unstable, are now being coddled and allowed modern technology and to socialize on social media. Mental health is extremely downplayed in the world today.
With all that said, HBO is loving all the interaction about the show, they love the love and they love the hate, too bad the actors are taking the brunt of it I guess
