I was trying to show the back tap feature at work to get the light on and it took me 20 attempts. Then I find I randomly activate the light when I don’t want to. It’s not a feature of the works for me.
@@user-jt1jv8vl9r It’s super finicky when there’s a case on the phone, even Apple’s own MagSafe cases, which sucks because I like using back tap for locking/unlocking the screen orientation.
that’s why i just have monochrome mode on it tbh, it’s the least annoying but very useful feature backtap is pretty inconsistent depending on your case too

You only need one finger.
Pro pro tip! You can also use the automations/shortcuts feature to leverage the image to text feature to make a quick little shortcut that sends your wipeboard on your fridge with your grocery list directly to a checkbox list on your iPhone to use at the store or to send to a roommate, partner, wtc
That back tap is going to be competing with crash detection to cause the most chaos while you're at Six Flags next summer. Those old wooden rollercoasters will have your camera flashing flipping on and off every 5 seconds.
i just found out if you have Gmail on your phone you can just scroll your profile pictures to change between accounts. 🤣 useful if you are using more than one gmail. 😂

When you hold the spacebar on the keyboard, and slide left or right. You move the little typing thing that shows you where typing. It’s better than just tapping trying to edit text
You don’t need to use two fingers to select, you can just click edit and drag one finger down where you select to select multiple items. That’s for everything too: emails, messages, photos, etc. 😊
I’ve used the scan text thing on notes, but it’s kinda here and there so I just take a picture, copy the text from the image, then paste it in notes. Just works better for me.
the scan text can be done anyone text can be inputted just by tapping like youre going to paste, hitting autofill then scan text. same thing can be done with passwords or a contact
This literally confirms for me what Ive been thinking that iOS is made for using with both hands. This example of two finger selecting can be extended with not having „back” gesture from both edges. And also many apps forces you to tap this little „go back” arrows on the top left corner, or small „select” button on top right etc. It just feels like is made to hold with one hand with precise tapping on small UI elementy with the other. Android is way batter with gestures and one-handed operation overall

With the notes app, you can also long hold the notes icon to take a picture of a document and it will scan it to pdf.
The back tap idea is cool for like 5 minutes. Then whatever you mapped to it will randomly happen throughout the day.

Another great feature is that you can tap the top of the screen to return to the top in any app.
I use the double tap and triple tap for Notification Centre and Control Centre - the two things you stretch your fingers the most for, everyday.

I use it to reduce white point so I can lower the contrast when I'm scrolling in the dark or have maps up while driving at night.
I definitely thought you could open camera with the accessibility shortcut, but I guess not.

The first tip is super helpful, btw just to add that in google photos you can long tap and drag to select multiple photo's.
