They did 3 gigs after this one and went back into retirement in August of 2013 after they were literally thrown out of Russia due to some controversial show segments (the 2010 tour was initially supposed to be their last one). This Amsterdam gig is basically the best 'last show' documented on video, giving us a great look at BHG's final performance. Still miss them to this day!
@@j.p.7923 I think there's a multitude of reasons, but most likely just the general sensitisation in society these days. 20 years ago their songs and behaviour was acceptable to an extent and people loved it, but nowadays, getting away with the things they used to do would be impossible and I think after the Russian and Ukrainian incidents, they really understood that it wasn't viable anymore, plus Jimmy and Jarrod are about in their 50s, doing what they used to do at their current age just sounds painful. It wasn't just bands like Bloodhound Gang that fell apart when society became intensely sensitive, it was also when things like Jackass, and Bam, youtubers like Filthy Frank and movie franchises like American Pie also took a step back and stopped eventually. It's really unfortunate because Bloodhound Gang were incredible and although somewhat controversial towards the end of their career, were amazing until the end.
@@Kengoorooshka Great analysis man. My biggest regret is not having lived in that period that I love so much, but despite that I enjoy listening to bloodhound gang, watching movies like american pie and series like jackass, I'm sorry that this generation takes everything too seriously.
@@Kengoorooshka I mean honestly it could also just be that Jimmy wants to chill now or wanted time for raising kids. And since they are more or less all still good friends I could see them regrouping at some point in the future.
Glad to see Jimmy pop is alive and well and has fans in Europe ❤️
God I would have loved to go to a Bloodhound Gang concert. I'm so sad to have never got that opportunity.
They're so great live..
This is the best crowd i've seen in a bloodhound gang show ever
