I'm not a Marquez fan but he had total control of the situation. You can see him waiting to overtake the Yamaha. And after the overtake, in the last corner you can see him give space to the Yamaha only to overtake again from inside
Just to gain more speed on the exit right...
Its often his plan... Sit behind riders when eh could easily over take them and lead the race mid way through but when staying behind he can study where he is stronger or where they are stronger... Overtake on the final lap and the other rider who is now behind marc has a single lap to work out where to over take or find Marcs weakness.
Not many riders have this race IQ

Been a F1 fan for years and I have just discovered MotoGP. I have to say that there is no comparison. MotoGP is so much more exciting. Every second is nail biting and on the edge of the seat energy. And the camera action is way better than F1.
This year's Motogp, almost all the circuits quilifying and lap records have been improved by the current Motogp riders by 'crazy' big margins. Motogp is getting faster, better and better from race to race, from circuit to circuit, from year to year. Ducati factory and satellite team are at their best form. Aprilia is also at their best form. Others have improved a lot. And Yamaha trying their very best to maintain their no.1 position. Honda is also 'fixing' their team after all sort of issues they have to go through. Never too late for you to witness some of the best talents ever in Motogp history. Welcome to Motogp family! Also, highly recommended to watch World Superbike Championship too. You will enjoy it too!
Marquez did the same exact thing on the same track and the same corner on the same lap two years in a row. He won the 2018 Thai GP in the same exact way
Fabio was clearly gutted after as MM played him perfectly and no one was going to spoil his party. Brilliant by both, looking forward to more to come..

If fabio didn't hesitate the last corner , he will win . But the champion is so aggressive even the last corner he overtake the yamaha even if so near at the corner experience and talent are more advantage than rookie.
