- With sensational SEGA style and flashy FM synthesis, Pete Frogs hops into the spotlight in “Blinding Lights”! Pete reignites The Weeknd’s synthpop hit with sparkling Genesis-era sounds and samples as part of his new album GENESIS JAMS 2 ▸ vgm.fm/blindinglights
Pete Frogs is a bassist and music producer from France with an obsession for vintage video games - especially the Sega Genesis. Mixing lo-bit samples and FM synthesis reminiscent of vintage consoles and arcade cabinets, Pete Frogs crafts a sound all his own. In “Blinding Lights”, Pete stylizes The Weeknd’s hit single as a soundtrack for a classic Sonic the Hedgehog zone. The track will appear on his upcoming album, GENESIS JAMS 2, alongside 12 other SEGA-style covers of popular tunes and videogame music alike!

Glad y'all enjoyed this one! this was the first track i made for Genesis Jams 2, and the full album is just around the corner and drops in May! woop woop!
Honestly this gives nostalgia for no reason
That's exactly what I thought about the song when I first heard it
I imagine driving in Outrun with this song in the background...
**Hidden Sonic level unlocked**
I want to edit this song into Casino Zone and just get blinded by the light.
Using this as basis for a scene in my novel *where the protag (Ash) gets blinded by the lights after discovering the Drastic-Verse inside his dreams…*
Mmm this is bliss to my ears
Nice genesis remix, this video is worthy of enough attraction.
The two great things combined🔥🔥🔥
As a Sega Fan boy. Perfect!
Another beautiful nostolgic music from game chops
This is a bop
Gotta love that Genesis twang. Always good
This is awesome thanks for that and please make more!
Omg the Micheal Jackson moonwalk yells 😂😂 im dying.
I’ll take a hit of that nostalgia amigo thanks.
Pete, you really nailed it with this one. Kudos, and gambare!

Never had a Sega, but i feel childhood so hard rn. Hella good work
So glad to see new stuff from @Gamechops again.
Subbed for more bangers like this 🔥😎🐢
Now THIS is a jam!
Está muy genial 😮😮❤❤❤❤ me encantó, perfecto para un viernes 😎😎😎😎
Definitely slaps!
Quite catchy.
Fits the sega era very well actually.
Waiting for this to be in Streets of Rage 5.
If Golden Axe had a remix. Even the yells could be from the end level thiefs.
I prefer this over the original! Sounds so good!
This one would fit as credits theme to genesis- or even Amiga-games!
Just need David Hasselhoff in a red and black leather jacket in front of a Testarossa
Perfect for Night Rider on the Sega Genesis
Imagine smashing some Streets of Rage and this is the endgame music.. which endgame soundtrack would you put it on?
Ranger X anyone?
A perfect marriage!
Why change the melody?
