Hi. In this video I detail my experiences and testing results with the new Sim Update 6 that was released this morning bringing us to version 6 1.20.6.0. I checked my performance as well as verifying that a number of previously introduced bugs have been resolved.
MAKE SURE TO CHECKOUT THE LIT UP LANDMARKS ALL OVER THE WORLD! They will remain lit until November 18th.

I am running Windows 10 Pro with Bootcamp on a 2017 27" iMac. It uses a 4 core 4.2Ghz Core i7 processor with 40GB of RAM. My video card is the Radeon Pro 580 with 8GB of RAM and FS2020 is running on a dedicated high speed SSD connected via Thunderbolt 3.

for some reason when i go to put in my flight plan in the a32nx it says ''untitled'' any ideas?

@@badGamr I have a fix make sure your fbw installer on it make sure ur fbw is updated

I literally just finished my pilot training tonite after I DL'd last night, apparently right into a new patch. This is really really fun!

I wish they would address the issue with ATC, that they claim to have already addressed, but obviously haven’t, where you cannot change which airport frequency you are tuned into as long as ATC is talking. Many times, the result is that you have to listen to ATC go on for half an hour telling aircraft to expedite their climbs or descents, While all you want to do is get off that frequency and tune into the nearest airport. The fact that it shuts off all options to select airports or change frequencies while ATC is talking is a big problem if ATC never stops talking.
I hear you - SO frustrating!
Honeycomb users and other are having issues with condition levers on the turbo props and others users too. The lever is in 3 clicks instead of normal movement others are reporting it in the 172 too.

True, prop RPM MIN to FEATHER and MIXTURE in turbo-props, C208, BE35, BE90C now not working at all, this was working on the Bravo before SU6

Well like others I suffered with servers going down. They were down for about 7hrs..Even those who managed to update prior reported no online services in the sim. Once Ms finally fixed whatever issue it was and servers back online. Had no issues with downloading and updating the sim this time.. Did a test flight with the FBW A32nx. Cranked the LOD up a bit. Must say looks nice...

SU6 is perfect!!! I swallow and eat all my words about SU5. I was wondering a rollback to SU4, I've even already lost my faith; but now I beg MS and ASOBO DON'T TOUCH SU6. Leve It as It is right now. I am very happy now, and each dollar spent in Flight Simulator are coming back in the form of enjoy.

My update went bad as usual: The download went fine until reaching 99%, then just went into a loop on one patch (1.75). Closed the sim, restarted it and the whole 60+ gig package was downloading from scratch again. This is the 4th or 5th time this happened to me during an update, mostly sim updates, not world updates. It's in the default location and I never had anything in my community folder. Very frustrating, but it's working fine now. Did not have time to fly though, just started at a gate in Stuttgart, sat on the tarmac for a while and called it a day lol :-).

I’m running a 1080ti and get 30fpswith a mixture of settings. 400 drops me to around 26. 300 is a happy solution and the sim is running great, no issues.

This morning to my surprise it did a update of 8 gig, but the Teredo is unable to qualify so in flight sim the data seems to be on line
im at version 102060,hope they will fix Teredo problem soon.
Hmmm MSFS only uses IPV4 as far as I am aware. You are using IPV6 on your system?
My first surprise was I ended up in a Cessna Caravan, a plane I've never flown in the sim, rather than my usual Vertigo...!
But I worked out why - I had turned off all my addons so I guess it defaulted to the Cessna. My bad.

The speed readouts on the G36 vastly differ and conflict between the G1000 mod and the steam gauge speedometer to the right of the panel.
Make sure to report this on the forums. You might get a solution there.

Easier install than feared. I was thinking, what won't work this time ? I had an issue with network unavailable, connection restored later. Got an invisible a320nx, but I knew from the past, need to delete version 0.6. My current, unsolved issue, is that Auto Pilot doesn't follow the flightplan, must the GPS version, think it's G1000. I'm quite happy how upgrade went, didn't touch anything in Navigraph. So, not bad :)

Great, now I feel better about updating tonight! Already cleared out my Comm folder, deleted cache files and turning caching off. Ready to do the eternally baffling MS update dance.... Absolutely asinine how MS handles MSFS updates but oh well... whatya gonna do?!
I have never been happy with this super clunky process but eventually I always get it up and running.
For me updates have become bitter sweet. I’m always hopeful but then quickly disappointed. Maybe you can add some sort of “Time To First Bug” parameter that measures how long it takes after an update to find the first bug. I think it is still in the “seconds” or “minutes” range. Maybe a year from now (or probably 2 years) it will take a whole day before we see a bug after a new update. For me the thrill and fun factor of MSFS is fading fast (after 114 flight hours). This is too much like work. On the plus side, compared to your experience my installation went very smooth and only one step and I also got a performance boost of 3 FPS.
The mixture lever on my Bravo (second from right) doesn't animate in game. It adjusts the mixture, and the mouse can move it.
Same here. Another issue for them to fix *sigh*.
Excellent video as always. I got the update through the MS Store (500MB), but when going into the game, the update stops with this error "No Authentication Services Available". I've checked my network connection and rebooted, but to no avail. I will wait till tomorrow and try again.
There are some known server issue right now they are working to resolve.

The update screwed up all my liveries. My planes are pink. Also my controller profiles are totally gone! Horrific!

I have a phobia of asobo updates🤐
Always something-- I had everything working correct except for the AI server being offline-It is a outage---then my data screen went greyed out. So I logged off and relogged back in and seemed like it was fine. I went to set up a flight and I could not set real weather and low and behold, my data screen is greyed out again and I'm logged off. Im sooooo tired of this every month. Anyone have this same thing?
I have not seen this issue or any reports of it. I am seeing a number of issues being reported but none seem related to each other. I will post back here if I see a resolution.

I will check that today.
I set my general options->Traffic->Ground Crew to 100 and I see them all over the place. Might be an issue with your specific system.

They released the sim way to early with way to many updates. I wonder when they will release a CD set?? With all of these updates if you had to reinstall the sim it would take forever... I would just give up on it and stick with X Plane..

windows+G will activate the XBOX Game bar that has an FPS counter.

Me. too. In my case, loading freezed.
Mine forced a complete reinstall even after following the published items to remove like rolling cache and community folder. Do you have your install in default or did you move your install to another location?
I use a custom location. I have an SSD dedicated to the sim. Were you doing any beta testing of this patch perchance?

@@badGamr I think I may end up doing a custom location as I have been bit by this each update. Seems strange so many issues using default install location.

Have you re-booted? Also try to sign out and back into the store app.
@@badGamr rebooted about 5 times also reset ms store and been in xbox app, about to give up will try again tomorrow

For me, this update turned into a shitshow, my Marketplace right now is greyed out, but I blame that on overloaded servers, but the one issue that really has me gnashing my teeth, is now my planes are unflyable. if I center the joystick and let go, before, the plane flew straight And level, but now if I let go, the plane immediately does a hard left turning dive... unflyable. I then tried a different sim and there's nothing wrong with the joystick, the problem is in this update.
Have you tried to reset your control options for the stick? Mine works as it did prior to the update so setting back to factory default might help.
@@badGamr tried that... also I can sort of fix the problem by hitting "Number 5" to recenter the joystick, but that only seems to work once I'm in the air, it won't center while sitting on the runway. So it's a real pain. The joystick should already be centered when you spawn into the sim. I sent a ticket on it.

They posted on forums that they are aware of the problem and are working to resolve it
