  • Full disassembly and reassembly of Minolta MC Rokkor-PF 50mm f1.7 lens. Lens is disassembled to access the diaphragm, optics, body sections, and mechanical components individually.
This lens is pretty much identical to the Rokkor-X version: the Minolta MC Rokkor-X PF 50mm f1.7 . It's a fairly easy lens to take apart and repair. The full time of the video was around 35 minutes.

What an absolutely awesome presentation. I've been looking for a how-to like this since I disassembled that same lens for cleaning 4yrs ago. It's still in pieces.

I lose my ball bearing when trying to declick the aperture. Any suggestion, how to find the replacement ?
declicking the aperture also cause another problem. Everytime i set the aperture to f1.7, the spring push it back to f4

I know this is an older video but wondering if there may be any advice if the front cover plate is not coming off. I’ve tried using a rubber material to spin the front cover plate off but would not come loose. Not sure if it matters but I have a Mc rokkor pg 50mm 1.4 The rear of the lens looks different from the one on this vid
    Thanks

does anyone know if this lens uses the same aperture blades as the 58mm 1.2???

No, the 1.2 uses a much larger set of blades. They are not compatible

@@Mattbierner do you know if there is a lens that has a bigger set of blades that i can try and cut it down? I know that would take some craftmans ship but i'm wanting to try anything at this point
