Hello, I was wondering how long you would recommend spending on one letter/sound and if you teach both upper and lowercase at the same time? Thank you!
I’m taking the RICA soon in CA. Does any of this apply??? I need study material and your videos are very clear 👍🏻 TY
Hey! I'm not familiar with the RICA, but I'm sure anything would help! Good luck!!
Hello! Do you ever have homeschool parents use your resources or purchase the packages? I am considering homeschool for my kindergartener and I love your programs.
We have homeschool parents purchase our programs and resources ALL the time!!
Yes!
So you teach both short and long vowel sounds right away?
Hey Ashley! I teach short vowels first; however, if we come across a word (like a high frequency word for example) that has a long vowel, I'll tell students. This gets that acclimated to the language, so that when we get to long vowels, they've heard about them before!
@@learningattheprimarypond thank you so much!!
Would you have a list of the order you utilize to teach letters and sounds?
Yes! You can get that free scope/sequence here: www.learningattheprimarypondresources.com/k-2-phonics-scope-sequence-freebie
YES... we use hte handwriting without tears order so we are in sync with all teachers and IAs... to avoid confusion if one teacher is working on m and another is working on f.... we try to stay in sync. What about upper case or lower case?
I tend to teach uppercase and lowercase letters together!
Hello. I'm looking for a phonemic awareness lesson I can do with my pre school students. Like a sound sort. Will the sort you introduced in this video work with my students ?
I would check out this resource for pre-school!! www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Pre-A-Guided-Reading-Small-Group-Activity-Binders-3571521

Thank-you for this... My 4 year old grandson needs speech therapy, but my daughter in-law is refusing for some reason. My son has no say in the matter. No one other then close family understands what my grandson is saying, and that's just because we are around him all the time. However, we still have trouble understanding some of what he says. I feel bad for him. It's very frustrating for him when he isn't being understood. He has trouble with S, L, R, P, T.. and some other letters and letter blends. For example he says "please" with a K.
There are tons of great services out there! Many schools offer speech therapy that is completely covered cost-wise by an IEP (Individualized Education Program). I'm coming out with a blog on this soon... so stay tuned :)
@@learningattheprimarypond If only his mom would agree to to. Thank-you.

Hi there! You can get the alphabet chart as apart of this FREE resource - here you go! www.learningattheprimarypondresources.com/free-writing-folder-tools
This may be a key to helping students with blending difficulties-use initial letters with continuing sounds until student grasps the blending concept.

Hello I have a third grade student who knows almost all of her letters but none of her letter sounds. I just don’t know where to start with the student.

My question is that I'm teaching a nursery grade students but she is so much confused about the begining sounds. It shows that, she neither able to recognize nor the concept is clear for her. So in this case, what should I do?
If she is under the age of 5, that it completely developmentally appropriate! Continue working on phonological awareness skills. This video may help: czcams.com/video/WwC9ll0gUq4/video.html
Hey ...my toddler is 18months and his pronunciation is very good...so can I teach him phonics...how to start teaching m confuse?
Hey there! When children are that young, you can start with doing multisensory work with letters just to get them familiar with that!
love from Pakistan
My granddaughter has 19 letters she has not learned and especially has issues with letter combos like Dr. In drink she says shrink...she has many words she replaces the letters with letters she knows. How can we help her at home?
I would definitely make sure she knows all of her letters and letter sounds before moving onto combinations of letters. Also depends on how old she is!
Where is the alphabet chart (a apple a sheet)? I can’t find it.
Hey there! You can download that resource for free here - www.learningattheprimarypondresources.com/free-writing-folder-tools
