I had the pleasure and privilege to visit LA in 2001 and 2003 for work and I would love to drive around through all the areas in my rental car, early in the mornings. So you can imagine this brings back a lot of memories. Thanks for sharing and greetings from the Netherlands 🇳🇱.

Just moved to the Bay Area last year after 23 in LA. This is a great vid. I had jobs that had me driving all over that place. So this brings back MANY, MANY memories. Fun fact for anyone watching, as much as two hours might seem like a lot of content, this only scratched the surface of this immense place!
Thanks so much for this video. I lived in Santa Monica ten years ago, played in WeHo and UCLA, shopped and dined in Beverly Hills and Korea Town and (rarely but sometimes) drove to Downtown. This brought back soooo many memories and helped with my home sickness from the other end of the world. Cheers mate!
Our new mayor, Karen Bass, upon her election victory declared a State of Emergency for Los Angeles' homeless situation. There is new funding. Also, an executive directive was issued that will cut construction costs for affordable housing. Governor Newsom also authorized new mental health strategies that will it legal to treat so many of the homeless afflicted with schizophrenia, drug dependency, etc. Hopefully, it's a beginning.
Been to the states thrice, all trips on the east coast, I know the next one will be for the west coast, but honestly surprised to see so many homeless people in downtown LA. The contrast between the image of a place and its harsh realities. 😮
You guys are so fortunate to be living in California. If I was there I would always be outdoors just wandering around and exploring. Hopefully one day I will live my dream
Come on over! I moved from the midwest to LA 23 years ago and never looked back. Now I live up in the Bay Area. Also an amazing place in entirely different ways than LA. California is an incredible place, especially when you take into account the proximity of these giant, cultural mixing pots to the very remote places from the Redwood Coasts, to the Sierra peaks, to the broad valleys and the southern deserts. Just amazing.
The video is very clear, what equipment did you use to shoot it? Was the equipment in the car or was the shoot taken outside? Would love to know thanks.

Thanks for Watching Roberto! I completely agree. Although it looks great, I feel like part of the charm of Los Angeles its its art deco style you don't find anywhere else in the world. A bridge like that is in lots of places like China. If u want a modern bridge you can go to any other city so its not really different. The old bridge was amazing. Anyway thanks for sharing your thoughts have a relaxing day!
Mil gracias. Excelente grabación. 👏

Really impressive to look at. I liked Santa Monica best. So many fat cars and you can't drive faster than 35. In Germany, there are still many country roads between the villages or motorways. Thank you very much.❤
I'm watching this from Germany right now and I find the power cables within the city that run above ground extremely regressive. It looks like crap. It's also dangerous. What if during a storm such a mast falls over. Here in Germany, all the power cables are underground.
You’re right, the power cables running about ground is not very pleasing. They do it because it’s less expensive than digging trenches for the cables. We do not have to worry about many storms in LA, because there are not many that are strong enough to knock down the power lines. I’ve lived here three decades, and it’s a rare occurrence for a powerline to fall down.
LA is a city of such extremes. Watching you drive through Skid Row and downtown, tents paper every street. Even as far as Koreatown. But as soon as you cross into Beverly Hills, Bel Air, Westwood and Brentwood, they're gone. I love LA but man, that's such a bad look.
Yup. I say this without rancor toward you. Its very much an acute microcosm of the economic system our nation practices. Comes to a sharp point in a giant, dense place like LA.
@@antoniahamilton3201 Very true. It just runs so counter to how LA, which has been under our (democrats) governance for the last 30 years, portrays itself.
I'm from Europe, Romania, and I'm amazed by the very low speed that they're driving even when the streets are empty. Are you guys using gears higher than 2? It seems to me that you're driving with 20-30 km/hour (don't know exact value in miles/hour). Also, I can't get why the traffic lights aren't sincronized from the beginning to the end of the street. Anyway, great vid ! I would love to visit LA sometime.
I’ve lived in LA for 3 decades and this video looks like it was filmed on a Sunday morning when the streets are unusually empty. Los Angeles Drivers normally drive closer to 70 km/hour on most streets. And no, synchronized street lights are much too intelligent of an idea for Los Angeles traffics engineers to be bothered to figure out. I’m sure if the idea was proposed it would be dismissed as being too expensive to implement.
5:00 Skid Row is a level of poverty and deprivation most residents of the First World would find utterly beyond belief. The fact that $2500 tiny, cheaply constructed new one BR (or even studio) apartments are just a few blocks north adds to the surreal quality of it all. Lived in LA for 23 years (my entire adult life up until 2017) and like almost all Angelenos I have a love/hate relationship with it which up until about 2015 was skewed well toward love. Then it really started to slide, and all the negatives (homelessness, crime, tagging, trash, awful ugly new development etc.) started going parabolic. Was recently back and it was truly depressing. Downtown with all those horrible apartment towers in South Park looks totally anonymous now, it could be Houston. The fact that the tallest ones sit topped off but unfinished and abandoned (Oceanwide Towers) is very symbolic. The same with all the totally bland and out0of-place massive apartment developments along main boulevards (most with vacant ground floor retail) LA doesn't look at all like LA anymore. You could be anywhere. The city has always been a very tense and anxious place but it feels off the charts now, everyone seems so angry , stressed out and miserable. As always if you have enough money you can live and incredible lifestyle there, anything money can buy is available (literally ANYTHING) and you can live in the hills with some of the most incredible views on earth, or live in the flats of Beverly Hills or other Westside enclaves with a gate and probably arrned security and live like a feudal lord. But it's a gilded cage. Most people I know have left, it just became too much for them. When you have a million $ plus house and a family and a homeless camp springs up across the street or you start seeing used needles on your sidewalk (just happened to a good friend of mine in a formerly great part of Studio City) it's time to go. I'll always have a place in my heart for LA but I'm very happy to be out. It's sad to see my hometown in this state.
Peace & love to all the homeless in this video 🖤 May you all find the mental support to get back into your natural state, & have housing resources as well ✨ you guys & gals will be okay. If no one understands you, trust me I do.. Asè✨🔮

Yep. Its all an illusion. What you see in hollywood and movies isn't always reality. Though I don't think most stars and celebrities actually live in LA. They live in the nicer surrounding areas in gated communities.
