Hello, thanks for watching! Ødegaard's incredible assist and Raya's 2 penalty saves for Arsenal. I don't know, but Arsenal fans were saying, "Pray for Porto" before the game. They didn’t know they meant against penalties. And now they want Real Madrid. 😅
As a gunner, i thought we would destroy them in first leg , was disappointed In 2nd leg , i didn't have much hope cuz we should have finished the job in the first leg itself. trossards goal brought me some hope . I completely gave up on penalties because there was a possibility of an upset, thankfully we won our first ulc ko stage after 10 years🎉 .but still i want them to do better cuz winning on penalties against porto isnt a good thing
Of course he’s going to have incompleted or intercepted passes. He’s making some of the most difficult passes to thread the defense. However realize, even by just attempting those passes keeps the defense honest and always considering a slip pass if they press too hard. Someone has to fearless or inventive to crack the back line.
Arsenal's pressing and physical fast backline lets him take these risks more often which is when he shines. When he's not trying these passes its like the ball is glued to his foot and he almost always keeps possession and finds a pass. Not even Messi gets it right 100% of the time. Would love a clinical striker to get on the end of these, our forwards can't seem to ever hit the ball first time.
I feel like Odegaard is misunderstood. He's a fine dribbler, passer, goal scorer, all round attacker... But his real skill is his determination and the way he presses. He forces the opponent to make bad passes, he is always very committed. He is the Sweinstiger of slick technical 10's... My Captain!
this is an interesting video for sure. after reading the title and after the initial goal, irealized it would be mostly botched passes and i was almost affronted but you're point is definitely valid he's not even phased when the ball doesn't go through and he looks like he's expecting it to be 50/50 or maybe not even in his favour but he's still willing for a high-risk/high reward pass. pretty interesting strategy from such a smooth high percentage player
I'm glad you understand. This video is not to blame Odegaard; it is just interesting how Odegaard keeps trying the same pass to break defensive lines, and you can see it in the first clip! :D
All the difficult hidden and smart passes Odegaard does will sometimes fail and its usually because his teammates isnt aware of where to run for the pass to be successful. He needs players on the same level and for his playing style to work he needs players who knows just by a quick look what is coming. So many of the chances he has created has been wasted by Arsenal players.
That's a surface-level analysis if I've ever seen one. They aren't all perfect passes and there isn't a single player that would convert 100% of the chances created, not even Messi or Ronaldo or even Haaland, who he plays alongside in the Norwegian NT.
I would also add that he is also not yet reached his potential, the final passing still need to improve a lot same as his shooting , the good think about him is that he create those chances for him to be in dangerous spaces by most of the time himself because he can press and win the ball well , players like him turn to be weak at winning the ball then rely on others passing him, I will use Mesut Ozil as an example because he's often compared to him another one is KDB , i think that where he outshines them and he isn't prone to injuries which is special considering that he is the player always moving in tight spaces , twisting and turning and get clipped by opponents. I also think he like to move to one side (Saka-side) but i think this more of a systematic issue not a limitation it can easily change. Best player his position but he is just 25 i think at 28 could be something else. oh lastly I also wish he was more direct than always scanning spaces while on sideway moves,, with his dribbling ability for sure he can achieve this but I get it that might at a cost cause it might attract injuries
Surface-level or not, people who critisize him for not always succeeding in his passes obviously doesnt understand what kind of player he is. If he doesnt try, nothing will succeed. They cant expect all his tries to be successfull, but at least he tries the difficult things to make things less predictable and easy for the defence. I am not a native english speaker so it may be lost in translateion what I want to say.
@@thubelihlekupa3339 Well said. The last part may have to do with him having always been a playmaker, unselfish and set up others. The last seasons he has developed into a finisher as well and he will only get better.
@@In_my_own_mind Now you're stating the obvious but the real issue is you attacking his teammates where it doesn't make sense to. This CZcamsr's compilations are just that - compilations of things players do, whether they're successful or not. Nobody was blaming anybody for anything before you decided to. If you actually watch Arsenal play a full 90 you'd notice that a majority of the time things don't workout because teams setup to prevent them from happening, and sometimes a pass just doesn't come off. I don't think this warrants attacking his teammates just because you're more fond of him than the others. That same team who you seem to think aren't on his level have been doing just as much as he has, and they are successful, more often than not. That's why this current Arsenal side is where they are now. It isn't a one-man show.
no risk, no rewards. Much better than the old Arsenal when they usually dont know what to do once they got to the final third. And since their play under Arteta is focused on getting the ball back as quickly as possible, I see no problem with this.
@Attem I RATE YOU. Most videos are so glossy….. these show the real player….. he don’t get the 8-10 assists if he isn’t trying all these crazy passes. Mad thing is, all those passes were on!!!!! That he can even see them is ridiculous. What a player. What a captain. COYG.
Ødegaard's workrate with tbe vision and passing of Ozil would be too much. If he can improve his passing in tight areas he would be a complete midfielder. None, he's an excellent football player.
Odergaard needs to watch videos of Cesc Fabregas and Ozil to perfect this craft. Most of his passes are intercepted because of the speed and wrong timing.
Because a guy put a compilation together that included his misplaced passes too? You could do this for every playmaker and make them look worse; not even Ozil had 100% pass completion. and even then Ozil could never and would never do the off-the-ball work that Odeegard does for us, and it's made all the difference.
@@juuglord8509 yes i partially agree what you said. But we are talking about the assists conversion rate between them. Im sure ozil is much more higher even with giroud & welbeck infront of him, thats why he got 18 assists in a season and no doubt Odegaard should improve on that in order to match ozil level
@@shaun5587 Of course every player should look to improve, that's obvious enough, but you're comparing the statistical peak of one player to mid-career of another as though to suggest some massive gulf exists between the two when that simply isn't true because they are not like for like players. All that one the back of a compilation video that doesn't omit unsuccessful passes. And that point about Giroud and Welbeck isn't the sort of handicap you think it is when you consider the fact that Ozil was also taking every set piece and he still played alongside Sanchez, Aubameyang and Lacazette while they were all in form. Stats are meaningless without the appropriate context.

As a gunner, we don’t want Madrid.
We want to win😂
As an Arsenal fan if we get ANY MADRID team we are fully f*cked
Bayern will need to explain on behalf
I just love the way he dribbles and moves with the ball
*ODINGAARD* ; )
him and Thiago
the long sleeves
*He's a very special player for us. His assist against Porto was sublime, top quality baller* 🔴⚪COYG
man is playing at 0.25x speed, everything is slower in his vision.
Still thinking about that Odegaard assist

yea look at haaland taking all the goals from the pass when nketiah missed the finish and his first touch in the clip. we need a great striker.
1:18. This one is just incredible
And Norwegian national team that is shit ...
I feel like he knows what’s coming around him, that’s why he can dribble that smoothly.
yup, he got Jedi reflexes
He sure does have great vision and you can see how decisive he his when picking pockets of space
Lovely assist to Trossard vs Porto
That rollover and quick flick with the outside of his boot pass @1:48secs was insane
I love the way you made this video.. excellent choices!
the boy is unplayable. i dont want to hear anything other than what he is. the most prolific chance creator in europe this season.

Thx for not only showing successful passes. I think I saw a stat somewhere that he is the biggest chance creator in europe currently.
Yh. From open play
Bro there is literally nothing you can say about odegaard he just class
i love pass like that
He's improved so much from before now.

Odegaard, Griezmann and Wirtz so good with this kind of pass

He is yet to be there at KDB level but he will be there.
If he can shoot just outside the box he'll be much more lethal
Broh reminds me of the xavi iniesta era ..
Crazy visions
He is no Mesut Ozil. The art of passing is a calling. A spiritual calling.
..he needs to strengthen his ankles,hips....his legs ...and he should increase the speed of his passes...❤❤❤
If he does. I think he is the only player who can reach KDB in the near future.
Your content reminds me of ,,legend verif football
Thierry Henry said he would adjust his position based on who was on the ball.
We all know if it was Özil it would go thru even wit this Arsenal team right now we see the space but the one players isnt there💔
Team needs more runners.
He still needs to increase the power and pace of his passes
I can't believe it that there is no Martins assist to Martinelli against Liverpool 3:2 last season
2:16 bro
His vision and timing are perfect, he just needs to improve on the weight of the passes to become deadlier.

If every Odegaard pass was successful, Arsenal would be winning games like 20-0. As opposed to 6-0.
the amount of times he dies this is a joke
30% of the time, it works every time 😎
LOL.
Joking aside, this video really just demonstrated how difficult it is to thread the ball between defenders nowadays.

This is not De Bruyne. This is de brooni💀💀💀
Not his best compilation btw and I can show you a million failed spammed crosses from kdb

Incisive plus at work

huh.... dont let this video cloud your judgement he doesn't "mostly fail"
