Or maybe if her own weakness?? To try and help her friends. It’s touching really 💙
I'd say instead of breaking free from her disability it would be better to say fighting through it. Like even if she's "weak" and forever bound she will still fight with everyone.
I really hate the fanservice shots they keep doing, it's just... really uncomfortable, and doesn't at all fit the tone of the series. Not to mention how sexualizing the characters is especially creepy once they start calling out the fact that just because there's magic doesn't mean these aren't child soldiers. But apart from that, this series honestly has my favourite magical girl costumes of all time, because every single one actually looks like something you would wear into battle. There's not much exposed skin, some of them have armour, and they all clearly are made to fit the girls fighting style. And I especially love how as the system changes, the outfit style changes too - Like how in Washio Sumi, the outfits all started with those bodysuits, and looked more like robes, but after the Mankai system began they changed to match the style of the originals. Also, not everyone is in skirts!!!! Yeah, every single outfit has a flow to it, but Yuna's in bike shorts! Togo's just straight up wearing leggings! AND NO HIGH HEELS!! I'm in love with the complete lack of high heels, because who wants to parkour around fighting monsters in heels? Literally nobody, it's an awful idea. But everyone's wearing flats! Hell, I'd classify most of the footwear as being straight up boots. The only exception is Togo, and her not having shoes works wonderfully with her look and how she's moved around - it's a good visual reminder that her legs are still paralyzed.

I love Yuki Yuna is a hero but they need to stop with the prerverted shots. I know it's an anime and not necessarily for younger kids, but they're quite young and it's a bit creepy.
Not "creepy", just not for toddlers. I feel if they do these perverse shots for any of these genre, it's aiming for teenagers, and most teens (who still believe in magic in the show) just indirectly showcases the girls' own perversion and their idea of beauty - usually bigger set of breasts, shapely tight butts/hips, ect, ect. Or what they think boys like.
this was my first real introduction to darker magical girl type series (and i dont count reading a chapter of madoka magica over a friend's shoulder at school)
This video, this video right here. Is the reason I watched this series. And I would like to personally thank you for helping me discover one of my favorite anime’s of all time.

Yuki Yuna is a spin off of the Drakengard series set after Ending D of Drakengard 1 and you can't change my mind. Here's why: -Most of the OST is composed and performed by the same composer and singers that worked on Drakengard 3 and the Nier games. - The made up language Emi Evans created for Nier is present in the vocals as well. -Flowers having a strong connection to the characters powers. -Young females with supernatural powers that can potentially drive them mad that also have side effects on their bodies? sounds very similar to Intoners to me. -Abstract looking creatures coming from another dimension surrounding/above earth who want to kill humanity? sounds very similar to Angels/Watchers. -The girls basically make a pact with god in order to get their powers.
Yuna's first transformation kinda reminds me of Kamen Rider Kuuga's first henshin. They both punched (thus transforming the hand), and then kicked (transforming the leg), before the full body.
I’ve noticed that people here have said this show is a lot like Madoka Magica in how these girls have it tough being magical. I love Yuki Yuna is a hero but they need to stop with the prerverted shots. I know it's an anime and not necessarily for younger kids, but they're quite young and it's a bit creepy.
Sapphire Swirl they're middle schoolers, which makes it kinda creepy. The prequel is far worse since the girls are in sixth grade.
I agree
Not "creepy", just not for toddlers. I feel if they do these perverse shots for any of these genre, it's aiming for teenagers, and most teens (who still believe in magic in the show) just indirectly showcases the girls' own perversion and their idea of beauty - usually bigger set of breasts, shapely tight butts/hips, ect, ect. Or what they think boys like.
Well i know i replied late, but Whats wrong with perverted shots? They're just fictions so why even bother?
the better question is why the fuck are you watching anime you normie.
I love yuuna's first transformation! it gives me chills every time I see it :'D
I just love Mimori's henshin
When I saw this anime, I wanted to cry because this animation was really moving.😭
This is one of my favourite anime’s of all TIME!!!
You dont know how much I Rewatched this over and over again
I have Rewatched it 17 Times. How many Have you Rewatched this ?
this was like my favorite anime when I was 10/11. The nostalgia, I really have to watch it again lmao
Music feels very ghost in the shell.
Oh my god it does
Ugh this was such a good anime
The music reminds me of nier automata
same composer :D, though I think you know that already if you're mentioning it specifically
@@MrVince329 What really?? That's pretty cool!
@@nonamelel5325 Same singer too. Hella Nier vibes from it.
this was my first real introduction to darker magical girl type series (and i dont count reading a chapter of madoka magica over a friend's shoulder at school)
FINALLY FOUND IT. Thought i wouldnt find it but here i am.
This video, this video right here.
Is the reason I watched this series.
And I would like to personally thank you for helping me discover one of my favorite anime’s of all time.
The green one has clothes similar to leafs 😂
1:04 ı like this part
Ahh this brings back so many memories ☺️
*Animator zooms in on the girl's butt*
Producer: WHOA HEY. What are you doing?? We just want girls in custumes fighting!
Animator: Oh I'm....... I'm just showing off how her skirt becomes armor?
Producer: Ah okay, carry on then.
These tranformations has really strong sensations to them.
All I can see are Final Fantasy 14 classes with each girl XD
i remember this anime it makes me cry😢
Itsuki is so cute 💖
Yuki Yuna is a spin off of the Drakengard series set after Ending D of Drakengard 1 and you can't change my mind. Here's why:
-Most of the OST is composed and performed by the same composer and singers that worked on Drakengard 3 and the Nier games.
Love this idea. But sadly Yoko Taro didn't work on it so it's not true :(
If he did tho then I'd consider that to be canon XD
Is Karin the best Karen of all time?
quite possibly
YES
She is
When anime girls transform the get three times the hair they had
This is and always will be one of my favorite anmies
Yuna's first transformation kinda reminds me of Kamen Rider Kuuga's first henshin.
They both punched (thus transforming the hand), and then kicked (transforming the leg), before the full body.
I’ve noticed that people here have said this show is a lot like Madoka Magica in how these girls have it tough being magical. Then again, these transformation scenes are pretty, my favorite has to be the one for Togo (the wheelchair girl) in which the change was so powerful it lets her temporarily walk again
love how the hair changes to
I love all characters and background song
I was just thinking about this anime a few days ago and this video showed up in my recommended. Will have to watch this series again ^^
I was surprised when they added more to this.
Oh my gosh !! There is a Lobco from Wadanohara who knows Yuuki Yuuna is a hero! Am I in heaven ?!?! o((*^▽^*))o
@@corapeony3853 I'm in a lot of fandoms *^*
My favorite anime of all time
Holy crap I forgot this anime existed until I saw this... I need to watch this anime again
The background music reminds me of the music in the beginning of NieR: Automata
Same composer and vocalists
I LOVE YUKII YUNAA IS A HERO IS AMAZING !!!!
If a magical girl has compromising shots of a girl's body during transformation, then I know exactly it's gonna be a sad and depressing one.
Just one word I want to say "AWESOME"
After watching all 12 episodes I can understand then only this anime
IMAGINE NOT THINKING THE MUSIC IN THIS SHOW ISN'T A BOP
Really digging the transformation music 👌
Awesome video! I'll have to find this anime eventually! I especially like the fact that a girl in a wheelchair can become a magical girl!
This heavily feels like Madoka and Pretty Cure fused together. Particularly Madoka. Does anyone know if the makers of either show were involved in this? It looks interesting
It's written by the author of Akame ga Kill, sooooo... not even close, yet close enough :D
When i first saw this it was on netflix i was not expecting myself to cry 😟🤚

Bro this was my favorite animeeee thx for letting me find it again
These transformations are nice, but whoever made the transformation for the one in blue (I’ve never seen this series) was clearly going for fan service
Yeah. Even as a Huge Fan of the YuYuYu Franchise.. i really don't like The Amount of fan service for The one in Blue (her Name is Tougo btw)
Sorry this is off topic but: this anime, hxh, Sao and RWBY were the first anime I ever watched when I first started, and that's cause there were all on Netflix at the time. But going back in topic. The transformation scenes were all so magical when I first watched them! They still are tho
I really love this
Itsuki is super cute

You were how old?! Are you people okay?
How are you all finding my old comment just now
We came late
I watched this anime on dub when I was 5. I'm not even kidding.
1:06 I like the music
