I’ve commuted to work for several months and after watching @TheMotoJawn I was inspired to give my opinion on the Harley-Davidson Sportster Iron 1200.
Nice. I am riding about 28 miles to job site. Few miles of dirt. Horse crap and Amish with horses are usual road hazards. I am riding a Ulysses without the luggage on it. I use my wwii rucksack strapped to passenger back rest. Sometimes a bucket of tools. Actually got idea for bucket from a Harley with one strapped to sissy bar. I look forward to going to work so I can ride. My wife rides her sportster to work on fair weather days. I love cruising dirt roads.
I commute about 37 miles to work in LA’s traffic multiple times a week, and when I got my Scout Bobber I got more motivated to take the “longer way” without freeways where it was 1 hour 45 mins. Then I sold my bobber and I’ve been thinking about getting a Sporty 1200. Appreciate the video brother, stay safe!
I live in NOVA near D.C. and I have a 20mi commute one way and I do it on a Sportster. My wife & I have/Iron 883 and a 48. I’ll ride as long as it isn’t at or below freezing and I think the Sportster is great for it unless it’s all highway, then the Sportster is not ideal. Nice scenery and relaxing video! Totally agree with you on a bike ride home being a good re-set. Ride safe brother!
Thank you for watching. I commute on my Sportster every chance I get, I think there is no better way to face the world then getting “me time” to and from. Awesome to hear you’re doing the same. Ride safe brother! 😎
I wish this was my commute. I take my Moto Guzzi V7 to work every day when the weather is nice, but it's on I-355 near Chicago which is a bit less laid back lol. On the weekends, these are the kinds of roads I seek out to really enjoy riding.
I can’t believe anyone is ignorant enough to place the mirrors under the controls. You can’t see! Those mirrors are one of the biggest safety features besides the brakes. Good luck with that shit
It sounds much better in person, the GoPro sound isn’t as good as it should be. It’s a 2021 so it is fuel injected but I wish it wasn’t. Thanks for watching.
We wann hear and see the ride, not the narration. No offense, but we don't want your commentary on your choices of roads. The purpoe of the video isn't foryou to talk.

Nothing like a good rip to work on a cool morning. It wakes you right up. I enjoy cool weather riding. Stay safe and keep up the great videos.
Thank you brother, loving your videos too. Stay safe.
central oregon here on a road king ... love riding to work on nice days ... odd bit is, its about 4 miles to work, but about 35 miles home
😂 Same here, my wife doesn’t understand why it takes so much longer to get home when I ride. 😂
I,love,this,guy,he, said,it,all.😊

LA traffic is crazy! I think the 1200 will work for you but be aware, it does get blown around at higher speeds. Good luck and thanks for watching.

If you get time, check out the sunrise Commute video, I love morning early commutes.

Awesome Bike! I bet it’s a blast on the back roads! Thanks for watching.
Great views man wish mine was like that!
Thanks for watching, your channel helped me to decide on the Sportster Iron 1200.

My father-in-law lives up there, beautiful area.
What kind of mic setup you using?
GoPro mic adapter, purple panda microphone. www.amazon.com/dp/B01MSKI46R/ref=cm_sw_r_oth_api_glt_i_WYQ6M2Q43TN9PNZW1BRW?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
How tall are you? How comfortable is the bike? 👍
I’m about 5 foot 7, this bike is pretty comfortable for a couple of hours but then you’ll need a break.
Is that a Rockform mount?
I’m not sure, I found it on Amazon about a year ago. It’s super secure but the lock button is a pain. I can dig up the link if you want.
@@AnchorsAwayInc yeah that would be awesome! Super interested

Your highbeams are on.
Thank you, I know. I always run my high beams for a little extra visibility.
T-shirt and half lid? I wouldn’t be surprised if you were wearing dress shoes

That doesn't sound like a Sportster. It sounds fuel injected.

@@AnchorsAwayInc Lol, it still sounds good. Mine is a mint 2006 1200 Low with 9k and stage 1. Love it.

👍🏼 I hear ya, I’d much rather just ride. Most of my newer videos I only talk at the beginning to say where I’m going.
Thanks for the insight. Just got the 883 myself. What fairing is that?
The fairing is stock, it came on the bike. I really like the 883, I almost bought one instead of mine. Thanks for watching and ride safe.
