- A Jackson 7 string guitar was brought to me with sharp fret ends called fret sprout. This is when the frets stick out past the fingerboard. During the winter dry months humidity levels drop which cause these problems. It's important to keep your humidity between 40 and 50 percent to keep your instruments hydrated so damage doesn't occur to your investment and your guitar playability is at it's best.
Thank you Chad Parsons for doing the filming and recording of the background audio track which premier’s the Jackson 7 string guitar with smooth frets again.

Great tutorial. And really nice music!
Thank you
This is exactly what i did a week ago to my new acoustic guitar. You're great 👍
Thank you
Fantastic job dude!!
Thank you very much for the positive review.
Great video. Hey....did you create the background music for this video?
A friend recorded the music for me and I added it to the video for editing using a free program on Windows 10 called video editor.
Tell your friend it's a masterpiece. Smart move to include it as a background while you show your work. This is such a well done video showing all the details of exactly what to do. Let me know if his/her music is available online anywhere. Also, why boiled linseed oil? Thanks.
@@gritsguitar Thank you for the great review and I will let my friend know. Boiled linseed oil protects the fingerboard from drying out. I recommend using it twice a year. Use it only on ebony and rosewood. There is other options but I use it because thats what I learned in school and its tried and true. If you look in guitar repair books it’s recommended. Thank you
