I've been in love with Steve since i was a kid. My brother introduced me to the sex pistols and my heart just melted when i Saw Steve Jones. I love his version of this song Better than the original
Steve can sing. He was singing before he was a guitarist. He said originally the guitar was just a prop so he’d have something to do with his hands. Then he took a bunch of speed and played with records until he learned to play basic stuff. So drugs aren’t all bad kids.
It really is, Steve does a great job and the slide guitar adds a sense of melancholy. I've always been a fan of Steve's and this really shows what he's capable of and makes all those "the Pistols couldn't play" idiots look like the fools they are.
@@kokorozz Can't call what singing? He was the Pistols original singer. Steve can do anything! From awesome "punk n' roll" with the Pistols ,Professionals and Neurotic Outsiders to great hard rock (his solo material). Now he shows that he can do slower stuff superbly as well! Such a pity that such a great musician has released just a few albums...

This is very fitting as Steve was hooked on Heroin for a number of years, you can tell he he is thinking back to those dark times through the lyrics of this song.. this was from the heart

Lou's second most well known song. And Lou, I read, was stricken with incredible jelousity and that's where this song stems from, but damn,- is it so good.

@holloween jack I’m pretty sure money was the motivating factor. He wasn’t a social worker, he was an entrepreneur trying concept after concept before coming up with Sex, the shop. The band was just another money making idea
Always love his singing. From the late Pistols stuff, trough Professionals and his solo albums.
My Wife's and myself's Wedding Song. Thank You Steve Jones xxx
Wow, Steve this is simply beautiful. Nice one Jonesey ❤️
What a passion for the lyrics and music. I've never seen Steve do anything like this. Excellent Steve 😊
Great Steve

Never thought of Steve Jones as being much of a singer, but he does a surprisingly good job with this.
