EP3 vs FN2 COMPARISON: Which Civic Type R Is Best?

In today’s video, we’re bringing a pretty cool comparison for you guys between two UK built N/A Type Rs. 
We take them to Sydney’s OLD pacific highway and put the cars through there paces. Let us know in the comments which one you would take!
EP3 is a better standard track car, FN2 is the better car overall... if you have £500 and get the FN2 a few suspension and breathing mods see the FN2 easily better than the EP3 in most track situations too.

Fn2 feels slower because the dash and stuff is more chunky so you don’t get the same sense of speed, in reality it’s just as fast. Overall I preferred my fn2, just as fast but better looking and a better daily.

I've owned a focus st mk2, an Abarth 595 and now an EP3. I have the say the Honda is the most fun of all, reving past the Vtec zone has no price. I'm worried about the future, because no modern cars will give these raw sansations, in fact, they are numb.
Both cars r totally different... smaller older school trying to compare to a newer school more refined car...both have k series 🤣..
Fn2 is absolueltely fantatstic and fast for na car with a decent tuner/mechanic...check some footage out..only have breather mods and have run plenty modded boosted cars.. more footage on tik tok under my same name....neither is best...both are awesome!

Wondering if u guys can help me? Looking to buy either DC5 Type R or DC5S - which would u recommened and do both lack torque before vtec engagement, or is there a decent amount down low? Cheers 🙏

Depends what your looking for and your budget. Type Rs are definitely more sort after and carry a higher price, they have more of that hard edged feel compared to a type s, with its more luxury based seats. Definitely a good choice with either of them!
As a NA car they definitely need to be revved out however before VTEC engagement they are still surprisingly nippy and definitely allow you to make Lange changes and set off from the lights easily. Once you tune them however most gains are in the torque department so definitely a lot to gain!
@@everydaymodseveryway5030 thanks so much for the detailed response!!! I was always worried bout lack of torque down low, but u've definitely alleviated that for me -- and even better, its sweet to know that there are good gains to be made in the torque department.
Budget is around 20k, but willing to maybe put a down payment then finance if a clean example pops up at a dealership. Will have to see what comes up on the market here.

@@vintagecottonon howsit....fn2 with mods is strong af for what it is...check out some of my footage... also same name on tik tok..alot more races to be seeing there!! Managed to run a 544 whp built car with my 181 whp fn2 ( high altitude ) na with basic mods...👐 cabihole has A/C valve option to cool down items in cabihole if needed...fn2 has long legs
