    Pretty sure the evasion loss isn't flat. It's 15% of your current evasion likely rounded to simplified quantities.

      Yeah, pretty solid mechanic too. Otherwise dodge would be turbo broken

      yup, at 2k dodge chance he has 18 guaranteed dodges and 27 total potential dodges, assuming the result isn't floored after each operation.
      Breakdown:
      (start at 2000, minus current value * 0.85 to get the dodge chance loss and cap the loss at minimum 10)
      = 2000.00 - 300.00
      = 1700.00 - 255.00
      = 1445.00 - 216.75
      = 1228.25 - 184.24
      = 1044.01 - 156.60
      = 887.41 - 133.11
      = 754.30 - 113.14
      = 641.15 - 96.17
      = 544.98 - 81.75
      = 463.23 - 69.49
      = 393.75 - 59.06
      = 334.69 - 50.20
      = 284.48 - 42.67
      = 241.81 - 36.27
      = 205.54 - 30.83
      = 174.71 - 26.21
      = 148.50 - 22.28
      = 126.23 - 18.93
      = 107.29 - 16.09
      18 guaranteed dodges (-> dodge chance goes below 100%)
      = 91.20 - 13.68
      = 77.52 - 11.63
      = 65.89 - 10.00
      = 55.89 - 10.00
      = 45.89 - 10.00
      = 35.89 - 10.00
      = 25.89 - 10.00
      = 15.89 - 10.00
      = 5.89 - 10.00
      27 total potential dodges (-> dodge chance goes below 0%)

    I wonder if with this build the hunter set is redundant since shadow already provides so much crit. Meaning that you would be better off with the gold power ring for extra life+power or a spare set of defensive items.

  • @michaelklog
    @michaelklog Před 2 měsíci

    sifd i thought you knew that they only do their ability if they have sparks flying up from them. and each time you see a dragon after you died you go he is using gale but he wasn't.

    • @mr_lex2607
      @mr_lex2607 Před 2 měsíci

      It's because he has the demon set equipped and there is a jellyfish with the dragon. On it's defense phase it causes the one who attacks it to become confused and he can't target because he's attacking all enemies at once. So he can't attack the first round and the dragon used galefire on the second.

    Does "convert" have any penalties? Also, does all stats "doped" with "convert" reset after battle?
    Because I feel like you could just convert all items you don't plan to purchase before you reroll them

    • @mr_lex2607
      @mr_lex2607 Před 2 měsíci

      It's penalty is that it consumes your turn, The mercenary set allows for two conversions in a turn. If i'm not mistaken the buffs only last the turn they're acquired on so if you did it on a defense you would lose them on the offense turn. Now in the case of this fight with this particular build you could just convert the whole time i assume instead of skipping. Unless Conversion has another mechanic i am unaware of.

  • @Qeisama
    @Qeisama Před 2 měsíci

    I think Demonic is the reason you lost since you could just deal with the dragon and not dealing with that mind control enemy. Also I think Gold set can mitigate the off chance dodge didn't work.

  • @Orinn000
    @Orinn000 Před 2 měsíci

    Not sure about a mechanic that just ends the run if you're using a certain strategy. Strong, sure, but just flat out "you lose if you're using dodge" seems pretty harsh. Imagine "you lose if you're relying on armor" or "you lose no matter how much health you have if you can't dodge this." Just seems random, and not the fun kind.

    • @Temperans
      @Temperans Před 2 měsíci

      Parry is usually "die if you don't have enough dodge or HP".
      Gale is "die if you only have dodge and no way to cleanse".
      Magic shield is "die if you only have magic damage".
      Retaliate based on armor is "die if you only have armor/hp".
      Poison is "Die if you only have HP".
      Damage down is "die if you can't kill this first".
      The reason why Orion, Flesh, and Gold are so strong is that they provide enough stats to brute force the fights.

    • @tamaslorincsik7125
      @tamaslorincsik7125 Před 2 měsíci

      @@TemperansBut this makes the mechanics useless.. and make the make a meathead game. Where you can only win if you have enough raw stats. The special mechanics are just a bit of boost, but.. they are irrelevant this way....

    • @noo-one
      @noo-one Před 2 měsíci

      In that run he lost because of the demonic set, if he didn't have it, he could killed the dragon and won normally, he is relying on a 2 round game (1 player 1 enemy), so it's a really squishy build that gets countered by 2 types of enemy. If the game didn't have that kind of counter he would be able to dodge any damage 15-25 times while dealing 6k damage for hit. Although orion set has a really busted ring, the build has low damage, and every enemy on late game needs 6-7 hits without an additional damage set. Building only 1 type of sustain and being invincible is not fun with you're against it.

    • @Temperans
      @Temperans Před 2 měsíci

      @@tamaslorincsik7125 The entire game is an exercise in getting bigger numbers better. What matters is that relying on a single strategy will get easily hard countered so the challenge is figuring out how to combine the pieces to prevent a loss condition.
      For example the broken vampire build was only possible because of the interaction of a few specific stats, but it would have failed if they didn't have enough HP to survive being hit. The orion build was very hard to kill, but it they had not added some damage it would have been outscaled.
